Everything was fine until the second…
Everything was fine until the second week of the training program. At this point I enter the driving portion of the academy. The instructor had us sit around the picnic area while he told dirty jokes for the first hour. One person got to drive for 15 minutes while we watched and the instructor told more jokes instead of actually giving the learner any actionable advice. The second day one of the trucks broke and half of the class drove around the lot while the instructor sat in a metal building. On day three of the driving academy both of the trucks broke down and we sat around while the instructor came in and out of his building when it was time for him to tell us more dirty jokes. On day four I finally got to drive but not the manual because it was still broken. The instructor took over at the end so he could lay down the horn and road rage at a truck from the neighboring lot who was supposedly blocking our entrance. But apparently the truck wasn’t blocking us because the instructor turned in no problem. After we parked the truck he ran out to the street kicking rocks and screaming like a child in the middle of a temper tantrum. After this he told me he was 50/50 about me passing the test on the first go. My confidence was shot at this point and I didn’t return after lunch. I contacted the office and spoke with the salesman who set me up in the school and he bs’d me about the refund process. I mailed a certified slip from the contract and it was received by their office. Here we are three months later and I didn’t even receive a partial refund. The contract these guys have you sign is only about what parts of the deal you have to live up to but not them apparently. $5000 down the drain and no CDL.
