Paid for premium USPS shipping — package held by consolidator for 3 weeks
I ordered tools from this merchant and paid specifically for direct USPS International shipping. Instead of handing the parcel directly to USPS, the seller routed it through a third-party consolidator (GlobalPost) to cut their own costs. According to the official tracking log: GlobalPost collected the parcel in Oregon on September 5. GlobalPost held and processed the package across their private consolidation network for 21 days. USPS did not receive the package until September 26 in Los Angeles (after which USPS flew it to London in under 48 hours). When I brought this 3-week origin delay to the merchant's attention and requested a refund for the extra USPS shipping fee I paid, they refused to refund the shipping cost, incorrectly insisting that USPS had collected the parcel initially—a claim directly contradicted by the official tracking data. Poor communication, carrier substitution, and zero accountability for major origin delays. I would advise international buyers to be cautious.
