Athena Security Concealed Weapon Detection SystemReviews of athena-security.com

Athena Security develops advanced AI-powered security technologies designed to help hospitals, K-12 schools, corporations, places of worship, government buildings, stadiums, and public venues detect threats, prevent violence, and create safer environments without disrupting daily operations. The company combines intelligent concealed weapons detection systems, AI-assisted X-ray baggage screening, and hospital visitor management into a unified platform that automates security workflows and reduces human error. Athena's systems can identify firearms, knives, and other dangerous items — including non-ferrous and 3D-printed weapons through AI-assisted X-ray screening — while maintaining high throughput so facilities can screen people quickly and safely. By integrating screening with visitor identity verification, watch-list checks, and incident reporting, Athena enables organizations to move beyond simple metal detection toward a more comprehensive and proactive safety strategy with compliance features.Athena also extends protection to the one entrance traditional screening has never reached: the ambulance bay. The Ambulance Bay Weapons Detection System (AB-WDS) is the first purpose-built solution for screening patients arriving on a gurney. Using radar imaging and AI object recognition, it identifies concealed weapon shapes through clothing and some medical equipment — while ignoring the stretcher itself — as personnel push the patient through at normal walking pace. Scans complete in seconds with no stopping, repositioning, or disturbing the patient, and every screening event is documented with a full digital audit trail, printed property receipts, and built-in chain-of-custody records. This helps hospitals protect ER doctors and nurses during trauma arrivals — the highest-stakes, most chaotic moments in any hospital — without slowing emergency care.Athena further augments security teams with AI agents and virtual officer technologies that support staff in real time.
