I bought a pair of cycling shoes at Bell's Bike Shop, Philadelphia. Soon after purchase the rubber heel protector disintegrated. I contacted Bont and they told me that this model had been discontinued 10 years ago. The store had sold as new what was at least 10 years old. I went to the store to return the merchandise for money-back but was denied. I contacted Bont again and they shrugged their shoulders. Bont used to be a very customer oriented company in the days of my speedskating days, mostly in Europe. Perhaps still in Europe, but not in/for the US.

after 8 rides on the supercell frames and some untightening of the axles the threading has stripped completely and become unusable to drive safely, after contacting support they said no refund because it has been used. 450 Euros down the drain avoid if possible

Best speedskates out there. They can be really hard to break-in though, which can lead to some gnarly blistering. Very hard to heat mold with a conventional oven.

I posted on social media about how I liked a product by Bont (their new light up wheels) however I received a bad batch that didn’t fully light up. They reached out to me (rather than the other way around) and asked me to contact them for a replacement, so I did. They responded two days later and said: “Thank you for contacting Bont. Please send me your shipping address and phone number so that we can get them out to you. How many are not functioning correctly? Please do not hesitate to contact me if I can be of further assistance.” I responded that same day with all info needed and never heard back from them. I have since tried to re-contact them 6 times to no avail despite their active social media presence (the original exchange was in March). While the item itself (the wheels) seemed alright aside from the point of them (lighting up) did not work, I give them 2 stars for the product without its light up capability. Customer service is confusing and I find it sketchy / potentially scammy that they took my address, name, and phone number and then were never to be heard of again!
