As with any medical facility, obtaining records requires a signed release form, and patients must provide accurate and complete health information so our medical team can safely proceed with care. To clarify, every evaluation on our platform is reviewed with the utmost care by a licensed, board-certified provider. Your approval for treatment was based on the information you personally submitted, including a mental health screening and photos, all of which were considered during a thorough clinical review. While we operate virtually, this approach meets the standards for safe, asynchronous care and is consistent with modern telehealth practices. Patients are always encouraged and able to message their provider directly through the platform to address concerns or request a reassessment within a reasonable timeframe. We also support syncing care with in-person providers, just as one might seek a second opinion or follow-up in a traditional setting. As noted at the time of purchase, our policy states that medical evaluations are non-refundable once completed. Just like with an in-person dermatologist, once a provider completes an evaluation and determines you’re eligible for treatment, that medical service is considered rendered, even if you later decide not to proceed with the medication. While it’s not always required at certain times, we provide this guidance to help make the process easier for you. In the 'My Labs' section of your patient portal, you can download your signed bloodwork requisition form, both during and after treatment. This number is also included in our support emails because we understand that some patients prefer to speak with us directly. During monthly evaluations, we offer the option of a phone call with the dermatologist, which can be scheduled either before or after your prescription approval. Regarding your concerns about Accutane and your pre-existing conditions, our dermatologist recommended the option they deemed most suitable for you at this time. At Clear Health, we provide multiple offerings that could work for any of our patients, but as providers, they have to make sure that these options are within the patients' best interest. However, we understand your desire for additional recommendations, and we apologize if this wasn't effectively communicated. If we feel as though there are treatment options that could be explored with an in-person dermatologist, we will always recommend that as we want what is best for the patient. Hi Shelby! Thank you for taking the time to write your review. It gives us an opportunity to better ourselves on how we can improve and provide assistance. I’ve addressed your concerns below, please let me know if I missed anything here. When you signup to be a part of our telemedicine platform, you submit a medical intake questionnaire to be reviewed by one of our Board-Certified Dermatologist. Once you have completed this step, you will always have the option to message them directly at any point during your treatment, even before you’re approved for the treatment. If you would like to speak to them via phone, you always have that option as well! Our dermatologist are always available to answer any questions or concerns you may have about your treatment process. Regarding the insurance coverage, Clear Health does not take insurance to cover evaluation fees, and we make sure that we let all patients know this during the intake process. Since we do not take insurance, we are unable to process any patients’ insurance plans to determine if their medication will be covered at their local pharmacy. That is why we highly recommend during registration that all patients call their insurance company prior to beginning care. We also inform all patients during registration that the only insurance our providers are not in-network with is Medicaid/Medicare or state insurance. This means that if a patient has one of these plans, it is highly likely that any script sent by one of our providers will not be covered. We allow patients to enter their insurance information if opting to use a local pharmacy, as they are the ones who will send the information off to your insurance. At that point, if a prior authorization from the insurance company is needed, we are more than happy to submit this on their behalf, but it is still up to the insurance company to determine coverage. If coverage by your insurance company is denied, we will always work with our patients to help them find alternatives in order for them to still receive the medication they have been approved for. In terms of our current refund policy; similar to seeing an in-person dermatologist, once your evaluation has been reviewed and approved by the Dermatologist, we are unable to offer a refund at that point as the requested service has been performed.
