If you're looking for a host with good customer support, then best to look somewhere else. We signed up with the migration request which is advertised as a service on their website, but after 3 days of being passed to a separate support agent on each ticket and very little progress made have given up. We were also ignored when requesting the plan be cancelled which says all you need to know!

Arbitrarily increasing the service price by 25% without any improvement in service quality. They also removed customer discount codes being applied on the service. Customer support is very bad. Stay away from this provider!

Price Increase. Everyone knows cPanel has raised prices, so hosting companies have to pass it on. But, HostMantis raised prices by almost 100%. As the cPanel price increase is nothing close to 100% and effects mostly reseller accounts, which my hosting isn't, this is just a huge price increase for no reason.

UPDATE: Read this before order from them: As a speed, maybe they are good (attention, not the best, and still have a lot to implement and configure), but the support and the way you are treated, leaves something to be desired. It treats you badly and it's hard to answer your tickets. I find it crazy that we had a 25% PERMANENT, but every year all the products are still refreshed. It's trivial. Look for another more serious host, for example, RackNerd.

We've used Hostmantis for many years, we orginally started with a promotion. Slowly they cancelled our promotion packages, now they have started throttling SSD packages down to SLOW the speed of website the entire I/O is very very slow. If you have more than 5 or 10 visitors looking at your website at the same time, it will take forever to load. The service is impolite and can be arrogant at times. No use of SSD if they choke the I/O down and pile on everybody on the same server. I hope they truly improve their service. Update: The point is that the NVME claims SSD are useless if the IOPS are throttled heavily. We barely have 10 to 30 visitors a DAY, and if those visitors complain about the load speeds then its a poor experience. My IT person has doublechecked and found it to be slower than the previous packages.

At no point have we "throttled down packages to slow the speed of websites". In fact, we have consistently increased our system resource limits on our hosting plans and we offer some of the highest system resource limits in the industry, so it is definitely not an issue of low limits. If you are experiencing an issue with a slow site, then an issue with a script/app/plugin you are using is most likely causing the slowness. It's also possible a script/app/plugin is trying to communicate with a remote server and is timing out and then loading the site, making the site appear to be slow. Working with us to find the cause is typically the preferred solution rather than spending the time writing false negative reviews. Update: We are very transparent regarding our system resource limits, which as we mentioned are some of the highest in the industry and post them publicly here: https://my.hostmantis.com/knowledgebase/260/System-Resource-Limits.html So again, if you are having any issue with slowness, it is likely NOT our system resources limits and most likely your sites resource usage is too demanding due to a script/app/plugin that is causing higher than normal resource usage. We offer the PHP X-Ray utility in cPanel and DIrectAdmin which allows you to test your website and see what specifically is using the most resources and causing any slowness.

Yesterday the 18th of March 2021 I decided to sign up for the entry hosting with Hostmantis and I got the error message that my card was declined twice (although my card had no issues).I tried to pay by paypal, and even that did not work.But I got an email from them that my account was created.So I logged in with the link provided but my order was flagged as "Fraud" which was shocking. It said explicitly "This hosting package is currently Fraud" So I opened a ticket and "Ticket ID: 830026] Card Declined-Labeled my domain name as Fraud" The point of this review is that Hostmantis has discriminated me as a fraud without giving any reason before I even had a chance to purchase their product.Who do they think they are to label decent people as fraud?Who are you to profile us?Are you the FBI?Show me what evidence you have that I'm a fraud and how I have defrauded your company?There was nothing wrong with my bank card when I called the bank.Please let the readers here know what made you reach your twisted decision? They won't accept orders easily, even though I provided my exact address, phone no. ordered using my wifi etc. they won't accept it. I was even paying 1 year upfront & asked they can call the phone to verify identity, still won't accept. Only reply was > Unfortunately we cannot provide more specific information as to why the decision to not accept the order was made. If staff looks, ticket #458309 for reference. I think they do some user profiling or something, hard to say, but that's what I felt by their replies. After hearing good things about them, it was a disappointment for me.

If an order does not pass our automatic and manual fraud checks, it is not accepted and has absolutely nothing to do with "profiling". We have clients from all over the world and have never rejected any order simply due to location, etc. or so called "profiling". The reason we cannot provide more specific information as to why an order is not accepted is because that could possibly provide the person submitting the order the necessary information needed to circumvent the fraud checks and get the order to pass our fraud system checks. Sorry we were not accept your order, but as a provider of digital services we receive a large amount of fraudulent orders and have to remain vigilant when it comes to accepting any/all orders. Additionally, this is supposed to be a "Service Review" and yet you have never used our actual service, so it is quite obvious you only posted this "review" in retaliation for your order not being accepted.

Please take note, don't take hostmantis as your re seller or hosting provider, this scam company just suddenly lock your account with reason high resources, 3 to 5 times my client website has been block as before i never has this kind of problem. update: My client is a girl and not abuser, you can see his use only blog and you can see the posting is just normal blog. but hosmantis is not really cooperate and just leave us without any solution. and now i cant do anything and need to refund to my customer. so who's get profit. actually you must help me together find a solution not just leave a comment my customer is abuse. done. and block. So easy make company nowadays by scam people money. The reason high resources. Their reason is my site use high resource, I guess one of my site is hacked and hacker use script which cause high resources using. 5 - For other hosting services, they will temporarily locked Your Site and let you fixed it, then active your site again. With Hostmantis you don't have a chance, they just suspend your account , your business will be gone. My advice is Avoid Hostmantis with all costs. 6 - They will suspend your account without warning and for simply getting traffic to your website. They are unprofessional. They had a month long DOS attack that affect every website they hosted in their Detroit data center and they still bill everyone for that month. You can definitely do better than this. I wouldn't pay a nickel a month for HostMantis's service all the reason almost same.. what cause we want to abuse your server what we will get???

Your clients account was abusing CPU and after several warnings and suspensions, we had no choice but to permanently suspend the clients account. You absolutely refuse to accept the fact the account was abusing resources and just wanted us to overlook the issue and reactivate the account. This review is nothing more than retaliation.
