J&G Sales is a hit or miss experience. Some of the sales staff are extremely rude, while occasionally you'll get lucky and be greeted by a friendly and knowledgeable salesperson. The turn-over rate seems high, so you never know who's going to be working there still. They require an I.D for any and all purchases regardless of how small, even if you're paying cash. They do this because they keep a database of banned customers. If you're on their list, they will no longer sell to you. How do you get on the list? Well, from what I've read, people who have complained about product quality issues and/or attempted returns end up on the list. Their gunsmith service was terrible. I needed a simple barrel replacement and assumed it would be done within a couple weeks. I dropped off my pistol and a full 6 months later I called to inquire of its status. I was told that they were really busy but would get to it soon. 3 months later, they called me to see if I wouldn't mind them changing the caliber. I said no, please keep the original caliber. A full year after dropping off my handgun, I called them to cancel the work. They immediately repaired my pistol at that point and the fee was more than the value of the gun.
