Company mistake, poor customer service
I ordered the specific replacement belt for my record player - based off the model number. I did so because I wanted a high quality belt and was willing to pay more at their speciality shop than buying off Amazon. They sent me an after market belt that was the wrong size. I let them know that the belt was SO off in size it stopped the record player from functioning. They replied that they did send me the “correct” belt for my model -even though it obviously was not correct at all, and that I could exchange it but would be responsible for the return shipping and restocking fee. At this point I would have spent $16 in shipping costs because of their error. Terrible customer service and return policy. How is it the fault of the customer who purchases replacement parts based off the model number that they don’t fit? It’s obviously the fault of the supplier, or the employee who fulfilled the order. I would suggest not buying from a company that charges you shipping costs to send you the incorrect product and then would have you pay shipping and restocking fee to exchange it when it’s their error.
