Purchasing and using the voucher was quick and easy. The only issue is that one cannot compare total procedure costs against MDSave because most hospitals use third-party providers who won't or cannot share their costs ahead of time. Just have to assume that MDSave will be cheaper all up.

I bought a voucher for breast MRI (not covered by insurance). Voucher was easily accepted by Luminis and was several hundred dollars less than I would have to pay directly. One concern: when I first looked up the procedure it was $150 less than what it showed when I purchased the voucher.

The site was a bit confusing and so it took me a couple tries but I got it taken care of. It was easy to use as it was connected to the facility I was having the procedure done so didn't even need to bring the paperwork.

It went perfectly except for one lab that didn't show up in MDSave and they didn't know what CPT code to use. (my lab was labeled "miscellaneous" by the doctor. But other than that, it went very well. I use MDSave around twice a year due to all the tests I have to have done.
