Would give 0 stars if possible as the leak detector doesn't work on any level. Their customer service is the most awful I have ever experienced. Absolutely do not install in your home

Dear Nicola,
We are sorry to hear about your experience. Our records show a leak was detected, alerts were sent, and automatic shutoff was initiated. Unfortunately, our logs also show a weak wi-fi signal to the device. Phyn Plus requires a consistent and stable internet connection. Regardless, you relied on your Phyn device to offer leak protection, and you still experienced a leak. We understand why that is frustrating.
We would appreciate the opportunity to help troubleshoot the weak wi-fi signal. Please reach out to our support team at 1-800-203-446, and we can give you tips to optimize your set up. Additionally, we can help you enable automatic shutoff should your device go offline.
Thank you for your feedback. We will use it to help us improve our product and support experience.
Sincerely,
The Phyn Team

Customer Service
Customer Service? what's that? - call the tech support # during their hours and you get stuck on a "hold loop" that sends yo back to the call in starting place every 25 mins...
My Phyn stopped sending data about 3 months ago, and despite several efforts to reboot, reset, etc, I can't get it to stay on the wifi, even after 2 years of use and good connection...
Got to a major brand like Moen - these guys aren't ready for prime time

Stay away from Phyn plus
I have been using the Phyn Plus for nine months now and it's been a nightmare. This product doesn't even deserve the beta status. It's just not ready. I could go on about this for hours but nobody wants to read that. So just briefly some pointers:
1. it doesn't understand "the water's language" as it claims. Even after 9 months of diligent correcting of misscategorized water usage, it can barely tell apart the garden hose from the washing machine. It just doesn't work and I think I even know why: when you see a wrong usage device, the only way to correct that is by telling it what the correct usage device was but a lot of the time you don't know that, you just know that it can't have been the washing machine, but you are forced to second guess something and so you end up contributing to wrong training data. I told support about this months ago, but they don't seem to care.
2. The wifi connection is unreliable. My router is 7 meters away from the unit, with two walls in between and it kept loosing connection even when I installed an external antenna. (My Shelly 1 sitting in the same spot doesn't have any problems accessing the same router). Even when I set up an extra access point about 1 meter away (and one wall in betwee), the wifi first worked and then kept dropping again until it stopped working for several days.
3. The unit stopped doing its nightly tests about three months ago, apparently after one test failed. I noticed that only because I happende to look at the most recent test data and was struck by it being months old. It turns out that the valve had become inoperable and they sent someone to exchange it (took them only a months to fix that). So while it is disappointing that the valve failed, I understand that this can happen and I'm not complaining about it. But the failed valve meant that the unit was completely useless (it would not have been able to turn off the water in case of leakage) for months without me even knowing about that. It is totally beyond me how they can program the software in such a way that the system doesn't detect that problem and alerts the user.
4. The water temperature it measures is definitely wrong. Currently it says that our water is 22°C warm (which it isn't) and on some days it even claimed it was 25°C. So it seems to be measuring a mixture of the water temperature and the surrounding air temperature. Or its just not calibrated. I have no idea whether the other measurements are accurate, but I have no reason to assume that they are.
And if you're looking for integration into some smart home system, look elsewhere. They advertise that Phyn integrates, but look closely at what functions they make acessible and you'll see it's almost nothing. Think about it: the thing collects an incredible amount of data about your water usage, water temperature, pressure and what not. But Phyn wants to keep all that data for itself. There is no api to access it.
Add to that the fact that you cannot even register an account without providing your full address, and you also have a privacy problem. Personally, I am willing to allow some companies to store my data in the cloud when they give me control over it (i.e. I can access and delete it), but this is not the case with Phyn.
