The staff is helpful, responsive and friendly. But the office environment and atmosphere needs a serious makeover. The carpet is old, stained, dirty and smelly. The walls have dirt and fingerprints all over them that apparently can't be scrubbed off. There is no natural light, the hallways are dark and dingy, the office doors are outdated. Also there's no common area to take a break at. There's a tiny seating area in the kitchen, which is uninviting.

Great location. Market pricing. Good leasing staff. Support staff is weak (no notary services, poor communication, some front desk staff appears as if you are bothering them). Fine for short term use but could use some management focus. Could be a lot better with the right team.

The place is clean. The Staff are very helpful. The Internet is very slow.

I also think parking should be included or a lower rate since there are no options to part on the street. The parking is very expensive.

Premier was brought in to take over the property management. Rates were increased. Late fees were increased with no written notice to current occupants. Add in little communication with current occupants. I think this pretty much sums it up. It was not a smooth transition.

This is a perfect situation for my business. Overall the office is nice, the only exception is there is a constant odor in the reception area due to a cafeteria next door. I wish they could do something about this since I have clients meet me there and it is distracting.

I am very happy with my onsite manager;however, I am not happy with the changes from the corporate managers as to pricing and up charges for services which were originally included with my lease. These new charges make me more apt to look into other lease arrangements in the future. This is sad for me because like I have mentioned my onsite manager is great, and the facilities are maintained well.

I started a lease for an office in their Oakland location not too long ago. In the agreement it says that if you want 'lighting' and 'air conditioning' after 6 pm, you have to pay $35 an hour for it - not an expense many startups and small businesses (who seem to make up most tenants here) can afford. The way the agreement is worded strongly suggests that the 'lighting' part refers to the lighting in the lobby and hallways, and not in private offices. In fact, it refers to lighting INSIDE your own office, as well! They cut the lights to your own, private office, which you pay rent for, after 6 pm. When I first signed the contract, I told the manager several times that I plan to regularly use my office in the evening, including meeting clients (how silly does it look when you have a client in the evening and have to use a lamp only), that I am on a very tight budget and even renting the office full time is a stretch, and that the ability to meet clients in the evening was a major factor in renting my office full time as opposed to doing the less expensive virtual office package. Nonetheless, she never clarified that I would be expected to pay a hefty amount for having basic lighting in my own office in the evenings. This was misleading, deceptive, and the manager never clarified an obvious misunderstanding when it came up - that is not acting in good faith. Although my experience here otherwise has been fine, for this reason, I do not plan to stay past the lease term, despite the inconvenience of moving and changing my business address.
