Solentro - make your own photo book or posterReviews of solentro.com

The site worked well for my book project. I liked the flexibility to create custom page layouts. The only improvement I would like to see is the ability to adjust line spacing in text blocks. It defaults to single spacing. Spacing of 1.15 and 1.5 lines would allow me to open the look of the text up.

I received my order after three weeks, and as I waited the customer service was very responsive to informing me about the shipment updates.

Excellent, excellent customer service. And I was a difficult case. I believe part of the issue was the 11 year old MacBook Pro with a Word program not supported since 2016. A lot of manual manipulation to deal with hidden formatting from the cut and paste from Word. The eraser tool in the Solentro software did not seem to work with this old of a Mac computer. However, there was a manual, time consuming work around. Bottom line my second book was successfully completed. Based on my experience, I believe it would benefit users of the Solentro software to know what makes and models of computers pc and Mac) and operating systems work well with the Solentro software and result in the best user experience. The Solentro software meets the 80/20 principle. 80% good core/20% customizable. Looking forward to doing my next book on a newer MacBook Pro computer.

This company was amazing. I was able to write my book in about three months and it turned out great! The only problem was that the colored book are really expensive.

I love the book, and this being my second, I was more facile with the software. The finished product is terrific and the ability to preview the book exactly how it will appear is great. The only weakness is that there is a lot of trial and error involved in constructing page templates and fitting in text and pictures in the way you want. But the end product is definitely worth it!!

I chose Solentro because it was the only company I could find that allowed text and photos. Creating the book was very time consuming because you can't edit a page once you've chosen the format which means starting the page all over. The book was also significantly more expensive (and smaller) than any photo book I've made with other photo book companies but I am happy with the end result.

Used Solentro to design a custom book for the 50th birthday of a friend. The entire user experience was very pleasant. Overall, the process was intuitive and simple. It might help to have the structure of the book preset before beginning the actual layout in the template, as editing at times is cumbersome and requires repeating some steps. By far, the most versatile platform for this kind of project. The weakest link is delivery time. Getting the book took forever even though I ordered it 3 weeks in advance and it was shipped via Fedex. Regrettably, the gift didn't make it in time; when my friend did finally get it, she loved the execution. I was tracking the shipment and noticed that it was stuck in a warehouse in Belgium for 8 days. Unacceptable. So if you are going to use this service for a specific event, design your book way in advance. I would use the service again and would recommend it to others as there are different format options and price points to meet different people's needs.

I enjoyed the ability to put this book project together that Solentro was able to help me with. It was easy to figure out along with the tutorials. I do wish there were more options for certain parts, but I can't complain because they allowed me to create exactly what I wanted.
