We love this program. At first it was very complicated for my daughter to understand the format, but once we got started it went well. The only problem I see as the parent is that after she submits a piece of work she is frozen from moving on. It would be helpful to have things she can work on until the teacher grades her assignment.

We enrolled my son in the Middle School Advanced Essay program. Our goal was to strengthen his understanding of the structure of essays. However, we found that his content was a bit immature and his mechanics needed a lot more review. The reason I'm rating this four stars instead of five is only because I would have liked to have had a prompt, before choosing the program, that helped me reflect on his level before signing up. Time4Writing does offer a grace period for a change in program, however, it took us more time to realize that the program might not be the perfect fit. I also want to make a final point in stating that once we realized our situation and communicated with his teacher, she was very understanding, supportive and accommodating. We really felt she offered options, suggestions, and solutions. My son was able to finish the program with a small extension and definitely showed improvement. Thank you!

My daughter likes it, I like it! It seems easy at the beginning of first two units, but it gets harder. Teacher are always on time and give constructive feedback on how the student can improve. It is a great little extra assignment or homework for those who likes writing, but if you want to depend solely on it just for learning writing and to learn a whole lot, it isn't. Overall it is great program.

Students have to wait 24hrs for feedback which can be frustrating and non productive. It would be good to have online marking for simple assignments and teacher could review and provide feedback base on these results.

Hi Thi, Did you know that all quizzes are graded automatically? The written assignments are given feedback and graded by the teachers within 24 business hours of submission. Once a written assignment is submitted, students can proceed with any lessons or quizzes, up to the next written assignment. This is so that students can master one concept before moving on to the next. We find that guidance in small, manageable increments leads to better understanding and retention.

Good experience on my end as a parent, will use again. My daughter liked the writing assignments other than the ones where she had to write a narrative. Seemed to be one to many of those. Would of liked more research writing.

Hard to get work completed in time given due to resubmitting and waiting for grades.

One thing that helps with course completion is that while they are waiting on feedback, students can go ahead and continue with lessons and quizzes up to the next graded assignment.
