We did a 33 day adventure through 7 countries in Africa. FYI we are 63 and 66. We talked with Angie and let her know what we wanted to experience. She curated a FANTASTIC experience. We experienced everything from 3 safari drives, Capetown, Victoria Falls, to gorilla trekking, then into Cairo for a great Egyptian experience. EVERYTHING was flawless!! From airport and immigration transfers, to fantastic safaris, to cultural experiences in each stop, and into Cairo, including Giza and the GEM. We are headed back next year for more adventures. I HIGHLY recommend AFrican Adventure Consultants!!

Our experience with African Adventure Consultants was extraordinary from beginning to end. I have never traveled with a company that provided this level of luxury, safety, personal attention, and genuine care. From the moment we began planning until we returned home, we felt as though every detail of our journey truly mattered. Marina Steffke was our initial travel consultant, and she was exceptional. She listened carefully to what we hoped to experience in Africa and transformed those hopes into an itinerary that exceeded anything we could have imagined. Our trip included unforgettable safari experiences in Kenya, gorilla trekking in Uganda, beautiful camps, seamless travel, and countless moments that felt both adventurous and incredibly special. Some of the most meaningful memories, however, came from experiences we had not expected. We were given opportunities to meet and spend time with local residents and members of different tribes, and those encounters became some of the most powerful parts of our journey. The encounters prompted wistful admiration and were eye-opening, and deeply personal, and they gave us a much richer understanding of the countries we were so fortunate to visit. Marina’s knowledge and experience were evident in every detail. The camps she selected were wonderful, the logistics were handled beautifully, and at every airport and transition we were met, assisted, and escorted with remarkable efficiency. We never felt confused, rushed, or on our own. Instead, we felt safe, cared for, and very much like VIPs throughout the entire trip. Of course, witnessing the magnificent animals in their habitat was often surreal and gave us memories we will carry forever. But two remarkable field guides made our safari experiences even more extraordinary: Abdi at Ol Pejeta Bush Camp and Precious at Encounter Mara. Both seemed to possess an almost instinctive understanding of the bush. Their ability to track wildlife was remarkable, but even more impressive was the respect and reverence they showed for the animals and their environment. Their knowledge, patience, and passion elevated our safari experience in ways that are difficult to put into words. I also want to mention how impressed we were with the incredible teamwork within African Adventure Consultants. Becks Timbers and Sara Stark stepped in to assist us toward the end of our journey regarding an issue that was outside of their purview, and the transition was seamless. Sara’s and Beck’s calm demeanor and follow-through was amazing. The communication and cooperation among Becks, Sara and the rest of the team reassured us that our needs remained a priority at every moment. That level of coordination is rare and speaks volumes about the company as a whole. We simply could not have asked for a better safari and travel consulting company. African Adventure Consultants did far more than arrange a trip for us — they created an unforgettable experience that was adventurous, luxurious, meaningful, and deeply personal.

We just returned from Zambia, Botswana and South Africa and Africa Adventure Consultants truly put together a trip of a life time. Our travel consultant really listened to what our goals, desires and expectations were and crafted a personalized trip that exceeded our expectations.

I highly recommend Africa Adventure Consultants if you are planning a trip to Africa. They came highly recommended to my husband and me by a friend who had used them, and I’m so glad we reached out to them to arrange our own African adventure. After contacting AAC, we first spoke with Marina and then with Sara S., who spent over an hour on the phone with us learning about our interests and the things we hoped to see and experience in Africa. We wanted to trek with gorillas and chimpanzees in Rwanda, take a day hike on Kilimanjaro, and go on safari in Tanzania. Sara listened carefully to everything we wanted and helped create an incredible itinerary that exceeded our expectations. It was truly an amazing, magical, once-in-a-lifetime trip, and we enjoyed every minute of it. The drivers, guides, and porters arranged by AAC were knowledgeable, highly skilled, and genuinely welcoming. They made us feel safe and well cared for on every drive, trail, and hike, wherever the day took us. We also appreciated that they were all from highly respected local companies, with some having worked for their respective companies for more than 15 years. Every hotel and camp we stayed at was unique, and the food was delicious. I really cannot say enough about the professionalism and care shown by everyone throughout our trip. In particular, I would like to mention our driver, Arthur, in Rwanda. He was truly special—wonderful company, incredibly personable, and so easy to talk with. In the Serengeti, our driver and guide, Amos, was extremely knowledgeable about the plants, birds, and animals, and added so much to our safari experience. Finally, my husband and I cannot recommend the gorilla trek in Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda highly enough. It is difficult to put into words how beautiful and incredible these animals are. We were truly left speechless by the experience. I would absolutely contact AAC again and request Sara S. to arrange another trip. After almost three weeks in Africa, we left wishing we could have stayed much longer!

This was our first safari. We spent 4 nights at Kambaku Lodge in mid-September. Our accommodations were top notch, the staff was visible night and day, eating with us as we shared experiences of our twice daily game drives. Dougie and Jared were with us all day everyday to track, guide, drive and entertain us with their vast knowledge of the land, the animals and even the stars overhead! Smiles galore from staff and guests. I want to go back!

I heard Africa calling for my 60th birthday. Sara Stark and Ciara Manning created and executed a perfect trip for us to South Africa, Botswana and Namibia. Chobe game lodge, Camp Moremi, Olive Grove guesthouse, Hoodia Desert lodge were all fantastic. We were spoiled with great game drives, delicious food, laundry service and little extras for my birthday. I can not say enough good things about how seemless the trip was. We had people meet us at every airport with a smile, water and professionalism. I am not sure I will make it back to the continent of Africa but if I do we will be using AAC again. Our trip was close to perfection. Thank you for your well thought out planning and recommendations.

Angie Voigt and her team at African Adventures curated a "trip of a lifetime" for us that was truly life-changing. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ **Absolutely Incredible Experience from Start to Finish** I cannot recommend African Adventure Consultants highly enough. Our trip was absolutely amazing, and virtually everything was seamless from beginning to end. What impressed me most, though, was how they handled the moments that weren’t seamless. We had a flight change that caused us to miss our connecting flight, through no fault of theirs. Before we even landed, their team had already taken care of everything. Transportation was arranged, a new camp was booked, everyone on the ground had been contacted, and we knew exactly where we needed to go. Something that could have been incredibly stressful was handled so smoothly that we were able to just go with it and enjoy the trip. Then my daughter’s bag was lost in Johannesburg. Somehow, two days later, that bag made its way all the way to us in the Serengeti, completely intact with not a single thing missing! Their team stayed on top of it, tracked the bag, communicated with everyone involved, and made sure it ultimately found its way to us. We were amazed. Every tour guide, hotel, safari camp, transfer and experience was incredible. From the safari drives to the balloon ride to our gorilla trek, everything was beautifully planned and executed. Even when there was a hiccup, we always felt like someone was there taking care of us. A special thank you to Nell, who helped us originally plan this incredible trip. Kerri, who took over once everything was booked and made sure all the details came together; and Madison, who was there when everything went haywire with our flights and helped get us back on track. Having a team available 24/7 while traveling through Africa gave us tremendous peace of mind. This truly was a trip of a lifetime, and African Adenture Consulants made it everything we hoped it would be and more. Their attention to detail, communication and service were top-notch. If you are considering an African safari, you will not go wrong with this team. Five stars without hesitation!
