But... im poor and can't afford 50 us/month for the complete plan, and using this tryna make up an hit with my chromebook With the free plan you cant even download the tracks you create.... Anyway, easy to use and that was fun, very fun to listen what came out.

"Excellent quality! The platform offers incredibly generous and friendly customer support. I have generated many beautiful, soothing songs in Tamil, English, and Hindi, perfectly capturing the essence of Indian raga music. The pricing is very fair and reasonable for customers, and the special offers are exceptionally generous. I highly admire that they provide royalty-free music generation while allowing free users to upload their song creations to social media with proper attribution. This level of generosity and quality is truly admirable."

I’m a real person. A real songwriter. I chose Songmaker because it clearly stated that everything I wrote or produced was owned by me. The proof is in their terms and condition. Compared to Suno who will only give you ownership if you buy the highest tier ( that’s horrible). While songwriter has a way to go, this is what it gives you so far. Lyrics to song, creating stems with easy download ( would be great if the names of the songs were added to the download,). It allows for choosing of a voice and their voices are great! ( I sometimes have to edit out the “ breathing” of these Ai voices.) I’ve used the same voice for 2 songs just as if I were making a demo in a studio. They have something called vibeseed which allows you to generate a song as close to the style of a previous song. The platform window cannot be any easier. I have found that more times than not. The song is generated using the order of the instrument choices! You can choose “ vibe” in style ( funky or groovy or danceable etc. you can choose BPM and Upbeat instruction and blend genre. Plus more! They have vocal remover for vocal and instruments plus all stems from a song. You can remix, generate similar, extend song and edit. There are also some other options I have not even used because I’m busy writing songs. What they need: simplify lyric editing, ( screen is small and a bit difficult to manage), it needs a MIDI editor and a way to add lyrics to those notes, using Chords in written songs ( perhaps a different screen) and a studio for mixing, editing, mastering and FX, easy editing of everything, voice to instrument where my voice or humming turns into an instrument of your choice or even a complete song. I would love a harmony maker even though you can manipulate the lyrics to create harmony structure it would be nice to have. What is the best thing about Songmaker platform? Communication and implementation! Every text that I send is promptly returned AND they listen to your problem or issue. AND they fix it and add to the platform. There is no other platform ( and I have looked) that is as simple and as responsive as Songmaker. Also, everything you write stays on the platform unless you download as mp3 or wav. I really appreciate that my suggestions are taken seriously. I can’t wait till they add some of the things listed above. Also, the price is very affordable. Hands down better than Suno ( except that Suno has a Studio which is difficult to use) or LaLaL or BandLab or Audimee. I have used all of the above and it doesn’t beat Songmaker.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a thoughtful, detailed review — and for sharing it from the perspective of a real songwriter. 🙏 We’re really glad you value our ownership terms (what you write and produce is yours) and that the platform is already helping your workflow — from lyrics-to-song, stems with easy downloads, great voice options you can reuse consistently, and VibeSeed for matching the style of a previous track. It also means a lot to hear that the UI feels simple and that tools like BPM / upbeat guidance / genre blending are useful. Your improvement ideas are gold, and we’re taking them seriously: • Make lyric editing easier (especially on smaller screens) • Include the song title in stem/download filenames • Add a MIDI editor + lyric-to-notes workflow • Better chord writing support (possibly a dedicated view) • A built-in studio for mixing, editing, mastering, and FX • Voice-to-instrument (humming/voice into an instrument) And thank you for highlighting what matters most to you: communication and implementation. We’ll keep listening, replying quickly, and shipping improvements based on real creator feedback like yours. We truly appreciate you — and we can’t wait to bring more of the features you listed into Songwriter. 🎶
