Still waiting for any confirmation that my order will be shipped. Nothing but an initial confirmation from Altra. Seems a bit slow

Comfort, but not for long?!
After seeing some promos by long distance hikers, I thought I’d give these a try. I am usually a Salomon fan, but periodically will experiment. I love the comfort of these shoes and for me the sizing was spot on. However, after only about a dozen hikes of 5 to 8 miles each, the toe caps started coming loose. So, I got some Resole and Super Glue to see if they will tide me over for a while. For the price I expect them to hold up a bit longer. (I usually have half a dozen pairs of hiking shoes/boots in the house and have been a boot junky for almost 20 years... my biggest complaint is that the men’s versions seem to hold up longer; what’s up with that??)
