The actual product is great, the manual needs a lot of work on assembling it.

When I first called to find out about a stair lift for my father, the person I spoke with was very professional and quite helpful. Also, he returned my calls promptly and was willing to help in any way without trying to sell me anything. He set me up with the installer, who came exactly when he said he would and was also very professional as he installed the lift. Overall it was a fantastic experience and my father is quite pleased with the product.

A problem arose from a factory furnished defect. The connectors on an unused bundle of wires/connectors would accidentally short to the chassis, resulting in a blown fuse, and thus the unit would not operate. This resulted in 1. main module was returned to Ameriglide, causing a two week delay. 2. additional charges of approx $450 by the installation team. The problem was solved by taping up the connectors so they could not short to the chassis. I described this problem in a letter to Ameriglide but received no response.

Hi Mr. Young, I am one of the people you spoke with after we received your letter about the factory defect. After I had our warehouse supervisor reach out to you, I thought we had resolved your issue satisfactorily, and I apologize we did not. May I reach out to you to discuss how we could have better served you? Thank you, Laura

installation took twice as long as expected as expected, but when done it all worked and has for several months now. You need to have the right power tools to cut the aluminum track. not possible with hand tools. This added 90 minutes to installation.
