Sucks they denied the charge of 3500. On my debit card. A retainer for an attorney. I have in excess of the amount. In that account. On the phone on hold now for forty minutes. Can you guess i will move all of my money Monday morning from all acounts.

Would leave 0 stars if possible. The absolute worst bank on earth. Predatory lending to elderly seems like a common issue. When ya try to open a HELOC to pay off debt, its the absolute worst run around (7 mo). For 40k they want so much info its ridiculous, Im gonna have to lawyer up just to prove a point. Its the worst banking experience ive ever encountered. STAY AWAY!!!

AVOID AMERIS BANK AT ALL COSTS I had a multi-year nightmare dealing with this bank. Let me tell you my experience. My loan got purchased by Ameris a decade back. I had been on autopay at my old bank, and I guess the autopay "broke" when I was transferred to Ameris. I was not notified (Apparently they had been sending mail to my old address. They concluded that was somehow sufficient notification). I only found that my autopay had broken after they had reported me to the credit bureaus for multiple delinquincies. I made them whole in one lump sum immediately upon learning about the issue, but it was too late. My credit had been destroyed. I sent them multiple requests to consider forgiving the delinquincies, all of which received the same automated response - "I'm sorry but...". It took me YEARS to build back my credit to a respectable number. I would highly caution against using this bank for anything. They have horrible customer service, no empathy, and broken processes that put their customers at extreme risk. They ruined my life through no fault of my own and no fair chance to prevent or reconcile the damage.

The worst bank I’ve encountered. They make everything inconvenient for their customers and the customer service line never works. I HATE AMERIS BANK

Ameris bank and it's costomer service combined with it phone service is well below sub par... not a professional company by even the lowest of terms. Fly by night sub standard services.

Stay away from this Bank in lake City Florida they treat veterans horribly they have broken ofr and OCC laws on a daily basis I transferred in $5,000 from another bank I have in Jacksonville and I've done it other times and had it posted to my account within a couple of days this time somebody got the bright idea to hold my money for 15 days which is against o f r and OCC regulations and they broke the Golden rule if they hold it for any more than 3 days under the regulations they have to notify you and after the fact does not count once you have notified ofr and the OCC they are on the hook they take your money hold it make money off of it and give you grief you can never get a hold of the local branch they won't answer the phone and they claim they're so busy I've walked right in there when I've been trying to call them and they're sitting around no customers maybe one or two this is a horrible Bank and I'm going back to the bank that service is only x military and current military personnel I am also filing a lawsuit against this Bank it's time somebody made them pay the price for their illegal practices which the ofr and OCC will make them do they've broken the Golden rule in banking law and it's after the fact now and they can't cover their butts they have no right to hold your money for 15 18 days I am sick of the crappy service I am sick of the way they treat people especially veterans but I'm not letting this go oh and by the way if you do manage to get somebody they say they're going to call you back don't hold your breath they say they're going to do something straighten out the problem don't hold your breath

whats a Bank for if a payroll check is held for 15 days. this bank is usless
