AstroVPNReviews of astrovpn.co

Veilock (formerly AstroVPN) was originally founded in 2016 by a group of IT-savvy students passionate about creating VPN solutions that could bypass Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) and restrictive firewall systems. What began as a small-scale beta with 130+ users, mostly students, quickly grew into a global collaboration focused on privacy, security, and freedom online.Over the years, Veilock experimented with advanced privacy features, including built-in ad and malware blocking to further enhance the user experience. While the mission was clear, limited resources and scaling challenges made it difficult to keep pace with the growing demands of a secure and reliable VPN service. In March 2025, Veilock was acquired by Nubinity, LLC — a trusted leader in managed IT services and connectivity infrastructure. With this acquisition, Nubinity brings the operational maturity, infrastructure scale, and 24/7 support needed to elevate Veilock into a modern, reliable, and privacy-first VPN solution. We are fully committed to honoring the original vision of Veilock while improving every aspect of the service — from performance and platform stability to user support and security. The future of Veilock under Nubinity is not just about continuing the legacy — it’s about building a VPN that sets a new industry standard.
