I purchased the ax5 hewing axe
I purchased the ax5 hewing axe. On their site it says the ax head weighs 980 grams. The ax I got had a significantly smaller head. So the diameter of the handle was beefed up to make up for the weight. The ax head is about 483 grams. No where near their advertised size. And the handle is so thick it's uncomfortable to use. And I have large hands. I will update this review throughout the process. July 15 update: the handle is 10mm bigger in diameter then the advertised handle. So yes you do beef up the handle to make up for the weight of the head. And I told you in a previous email that I work out of town. On top of that it takes you guys a month or two to reply back to me. And it's just a loop of excuses. Just like your reply on here all you do is make claims that you don't back up. I have the living proof of everything I say. You sent me an ax head that substantially smaller than advertised. Measurements prove that. The ax handle is significantly larger to make up for the weight. I can prove that because I have the whole thing. All this company does is make excuses and claims that have nothing to do with what's actually in my hands. And they have no suggestions on how they're going to fix this. This is definitely why they have such poor ratings

Hello, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are truly sorry that the axe did not meet your expectations. We would like to clarify that we do not increase the thickness or weight of the handle to compensate for a lighter axe head. Wood is a natural material, and its density and weight can vary from one piece to another, so estimating the weight of the axe head by balancing or comparing the total weight of the axe may not give an accurate result. We previously asked if you could kindly send us a few additional photos with measurements, for example using a ruler, so that we could better understand the situation. It would also be very helpful to see a photo of the back side of the axe head, especially if that part appears significantly smaller than expected. Unfortunately, we have not yet received those additional photos. We would genuinely appreciate the opportunity to review them, check the dimensions carefully, and better understand what may have happened. We take concerns like this seriously and would like to look into the situation properly rather than make assumptions without seeing the necessary measurements. We will be waiting for your reply and will be happy to continue assisting you. Best regards, BeaverCraft Team
