It went very smoothly.
I'm glad I made the investment. I was worried about traveling to Mexico but it all went very smoothly. I would recommend this service to others.

I had my sleeve surgery December 28th of 2015 almost exactly a year ago. I weighed 375 pounds at 23 years old. My quality of life was horrible. I didn't go out and hang with friends or talk to girls because I was ashamed of how I looked. One year since surgery and I have lost 185 pounds! My life has completely changed around! I go out and have a good time whenever I get the chance now ! I eat healthy portions and drink lots of protein and take my vitamins. I couldn't have asked for a better experience! The hospital Star Medica was amazing! One of the nicest hospitals I've been to! And the staff were just as amazing! Thank you so much for helping me turn my life around!

I was hesitant to go out of the country to have surgery. But all my options were way too expensive and no financing. I read lots of the testimonials from others that have been there and decided to go forward and take a chance. Well I couldn't be happier with my decision. From the driver who picked me up at the airport to the assistant who help me with anything that I needed. The hospital was new, super clean, everyone was nice and helpful probably better than if I'd had it done locally. The doctors met with me several times and explained the process and what I needed to do before and especially after the surgery. They had nutritionists talk to me and explain my diet post operation. I was surprise how well I felt after the operation. I'd had friends that have had the same sleeve surgery here in Missouri and complained about the pain and bloating afterwards. I had none of that. Maybe I was fortunate. The nurses were very friendly any thing I needed the were there for me. Some couldn't speak a lot of english but enough to know what I wanted. Even leaving the hospital I saw my doctors and they gave my a big handshake and wished me the best. Must doctors in the states rarely come around afterwards. It's been two weeks I'm down about 23 lbs. I've got a long ways to go but it's a good start. Things went so smooth I started to wonder if they really changed my stomach but let me tell you, if you eat a little too much or the wrong stuff believe me you'll know when to stop. When you first get there they test for everything, X-rays, Blood, E.K.G. They make sure your good to go. Time goes fast. You stay there at the hospital they don't send you to a motel to recuperate, that's a plus. If something's needed I-V's pain medicine what ever your right there and they have it. The room next to me there were two ladies, one had already had the surgery last year and was there with a friend of hers having it done. That's a great indorsment. I've done all the diets and been up and down all my life. Now that I'm getting older it's harder to keep the wieght off and just went on insulin. Since the surgery, only two weeks my insulin need is down by two thirds. I'm hoping when I reach my goal I'll be insulin free. It's easier to breath and clothes are already fitting better. I'm not a big optimist but I really feel good about what I've done. It does take some getting use to. I sometimes think I'm hungry but just a small amount to eat or drink I feel full. I'm anctious to see how the next few weeks go. If they let me I'll wright back with hopefully more good news. They've got people there to talk to if you have any questions They are very helpful. So if you've tried everything and are loosing hope of every getting the harmful weight off give this try. So far I really glad I did.

I would definitely recommend this group of staff and doctors. The pre and post surgery information and support was great. The whole hospital experience was phenomenal and the staff made me feel welcome and safe. My only suggestion is to bring a friend or family member with you to Mexico for company and support.

Everyone that I have dealt with at BeLiteWeight went out of their way to make sure I felt comfortable and secure with the procedure. They always answered every question, regularly followed up with me and made sure I was more than prepared for the surgery. I would recommend them to anyone.

I researched Weight Loss Surgery for a year and after my health insurance denied me 3 times, I went on the Web to find out what other options I had. From the minute I talked to JoAnne, I knew I had found what I was looking for. She answered every question I had, and boy did I ask her everything. This is where The Leap of Faith came in to play. I scheduled my procedure for July 5th 2016. My very supportive husband and I flew to El Paso, Texas and was met by a transport driver who took us across the border into Juarez. We arrived at the hospital Star Medica. The driver never left our side till I was registered for admission. Even though there was a language barrier, I had an interpreter helping me. Admission to my room was smooth. The hospital was very clean and my care was very attentive. Everyone from nurses to housekeeping were friendly. Very few personnel spoke English, but they carried mobile translator devices with them. My favorite part was Dr Rodriguez and Dr Elmo and their medical staff, they spoke great English and had a sense of humor which helped me get through the surgery and recovery. I only had incisional pain. These guys are the best, so don't delay doing surgery any longer. I am 5 1/2 months out and have lost 65 pounds. I have no regrets except waiting too long to have surgery.
