My Berlitz teachers were truly wonderful. They encouraged me to speak and gave me the confidence to do so. Not only did they work with Berlitz materials, they also utilized my classroom text book so I could keep pace with my class. In the end, I exceeded my class in language skills.

Instructor took too much time on several sections that were not that critical. The result was that I did not complete the Level 2 course work in time.

Hi Frank- Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. Because our live courses are catered to the student, there is no "one-size-fits-all" approach to our programs. For whatever reason, there was emphasis on these sections, but those reasons were not well communicated with you. We will use this information to help improve the way we cater our lessons, as well as our communication with students.

Terrible customer service. Several request to reset my level were ignored. Finally gave up..

Hi Steven, Thank you for sharing this concern with us. We are really sorry to hear your concerns were not heard. Typically, level audits are performed at the start of a new program, so perhaps there was some confusion as to whether or not to break protocol. In the future, it would make sense for us to review and reset a learner's level on a case-by-case basis. Thank you for helping us improve our process.

Just perfect !

I had some instructors that were actually interested in teaching me and correcting my pronunciation, but I also had some others with limited background and interest to discuss even newspaper topics. Actually, I found few of them more interested in their breaks than in my lessons.

I loved studying at the Berlitz in Summit, NJ.

Initially my experience was great with the Bertliz Virtual Class program. I was studing German and my teacher, Annette, was great. Suddenly, she left unexpectedly and the all fell apart. The other teachers available on BVC were not knowledgable about the online tool, and they were not making any notes at all. Then I started in-person classes at the Ridgewood, NJ facility and the teacher was a real nice lady but the class was not really prepared, and it did not follow any structure or not even the Berlitz books. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Berlitz to anyone for language needs.

Hi Julie, Thank you for your feedback. We are very sorry to hear that your overall experience didn't live up to your expectations of Berlitz. Certainly, an inspirational instructor can help motivate and drive results, so it's disappointing when that progress is interrupted. We will use this information to help create a more consistent experience across our platforms and products.
