No communication whatsoever. They don't care about you, they only care about your money. Also very important, it's not mentioned when you're signing up, your insurance does not assist with this. I also am not getting any refund for my money! All they care about is money, nothing else! Don't use them!

You get help just if you pay (in advance) otherwise nobody will listen to you. They don't care if you are suicidal, unless you use your credit card... So if you are lonely with nobody to talk to, or need urgent help but are broke, don't ever consider Betterhelp. It would be just another illusion that will make you feel even worse, lonely and disconnected! And just to point it out, other similar websites aren't much different! "You deserve to be happy"... but just if you pay.

Very unhappy and disappointed. My first counselor did not reply to my message for a week. The second one sent me pages of copy-paste about mindfulness over 3 days, while all I had been asking was a few tips to deal with a stressful situation. I had the courage to start counseling, and now I'm just disappointed and I want my money back.

I just did the free trial so things may have improved if I did pay for the subscriptions but for what I saw the large amount of money really wasn't worth it. I was matched with someone who seemed friendly and nice. I wrote out my story and wanted to discuss more what was going on with my situation at the time but I felt she didn't even read this and then gave a preprepared response for anxiety symptoms. I told her I had severe asthma and so could not exercise to improve symptoms and in a later response, she said for me to do some journalling and to have a dance party so I felt like she had not read my messages or really heard me and the problems I was having. If anything it made me feel a bit worse because I still felt like I had no one to talk to. Since then I am seeing a face to face counsellor who is cheaper than Betterhelp and vastly more helpful.

Incredibly unethical. I reached out while experiencing a trauma reaction. I ditched at the point of payment online ($260) but received an automated email response 10-mins later from a therapist (Leslie Gray - MA, LPC, LCAS). To read the message to connect I would need to pay the base price ($260). This approach is akin to the fake psychics who prey on people at their weakest moments. I had to turn them down twice, with the second time seeming like someone was waiting for me to connect and help me. Stay away. They are monetizing you at your most desperate moments.

My counselor never called or answered my text at the time of our session, the whole thing is not reliable, you can’t get hold of people and your questions are not being answered. They charge you big money but don’t even bother emailing you back. My experience is bad and I would like to give heads up to other people who might be looking into their services, don’t waste your money!

BetterHelp stole my money, after purchasing my account disappeared, I was not able to login again as I never logged in in a first place. When I wrote to their contact all I got is auto reply. Classic thefts!

Not worth the time or money. The app takes a very long time to connect you to a counselor when you first set it up....days. The counselors do not actually speak with you to discuss anything or offer advise, it's very generic and vague and the chat is useless since they still won't talk to you outside scheduled hours. Completely useless.
