My counselor has helped me with the decision process of getting out of a relationship and I feel like I’m more in the “driver seat” in my life now. She isn’t online as much as I’d like, so I don’t have the 24/7 support person, but other than that, better help has been a good experience

Pros: Can do your visits via text, phone, or video Extremely easy to schedule (I've been able to see my therapist once a week, and can pick from all of her available times/dates) Flat rate (I can see my therapist as often as I want) Ability to sens messages to therapist in between sessions (ie - "Id like to talk about xyz at next session" or "Can I see you sooner?") Cons: Out of pocket/not covered by insurance. This is personally not as big of an issue for me. My health insurance isnt great, and I would have had to settle for only seeing a therapist every two months or so, which doesnt help me at all.

In-person therapy was never the right fit for me, so I'm glad I bit the bullet and tried BetterHelp. I can send a message whenever I need to and know my counselor will get back to me within 72 hours. It's also nice to have the ability to be able to think and process, instead of coming up with answers to the counseling questions on the spot like in-person therapy.

BetterHelp is a great option for people who can't made traditional counseling work. Lots of flexibility, lots of options. I wish it was a little more affordable so more people could take advantage.

Better help has some technical difficulties but overall I am really grateful for the service. Accessibility to mental health is really challenging. Betterhelp makes it so much easier to find a therapist who fits you well and works with your schedule.

4.5 stars BetterHelp has been a useful tool during a recent breakup and my counselor Melissa Powell is by far my top recommendation. She is so easy to talk to, helps you uncover past traumas and is very open, lgbtq+ friendly, nonjudgmental to say the least. I was matched with a counselor that claimed to be lgbtq+ friendly before I was matched with Melissa and let me just say, that was not the case and that counselor was so unprofessional. I left a review about my experience with her and BetterHelp was fast to respond and have me choose my next therapist with ease. This was very important to me since I have had such bad experiences with therapy in the past that tied in with emotional trauma. I look forward to talking with Melissa every week and continuing treatment with her. If I could see her outside of BetterHelp at a normal office I would!

Betterhelp is a good place to get help with your personal problems you have in life, wheater or not its self-love, self worth and self-esteem. They listen to you, they help to guide you on the right path and the help you to be the best you you can be, however I do wish that it was not 65$ per week.
