This company takes out the process of searching and equips you with a counselor that matches your needs. My counselor was way more than a talking head that had kind words. It was a partnership for healing.

I'm glad that such a platform exists. Taking the first step into reaching out for help and having it accessible to someone who is in need, are some of the things that can be troublesome for someone who is in that state for the first time. I saw this platform as a digital ad on social media, and I had already been pondering on getting help for sometime; however, I didn't know who to reach out to, and how to do it. Even if there are resources online for that, I preferred a more secure network, and this allowed me exactly that. Getting matched to a counsellor that fits you is another thing, but just knowing that I can seek help on my own, without having to ask friends or family, already gives me the sense of security I need to get things started to face my issues. Thank you for developing such a platform in these changing times.

The customer service was absolutely amazing. I had a bad beginning due to the counselors not listening or literally going MIA on me after over a week of working together- that is the only reason I didn't give 5 stars, because I had to back track after my counselor decided to stop answering me for over a week. They helped me financially and helped me when my counselor went M.I.A. Online therapy isn't for everyone. I was more hopeful because I didn't think I was in that bad of a place where I truly needed face to face therapy but once I get myself to a better mental spot I have a feeling I will be returning for ongoing help. Once you find your counselor match, you will feel better. If you are struggling with the payments, reach out to customer service and tell them what's going on- they may be able to work with you. I have only been using Betterhelp for less than a month, but I do like the company and think that it is a great idea. For someone with social anxiety I find it helpful to be able to collect my thoughts and write openly online instead of in a face-to-face session. It can be very difficult (in Quebec, Canada at least) to gain access to affordable councelling. Betterhelp offers a solution to a large problem of accessibility to treatment of mental health. I love what the company is doing and hope that it continues to grow.
