Amazing learning site with a lot of tools to help user in the process. Learning curve good, courses understandable and in between courses user can complete generated challenges to practice on topics they didn't understand well. Totally love it

I was (still kinda is) a complete beginner when it comes to coding. I've been using Boot.dev almost daily since the end of december and the lessons don't just guide you - they explain why you do that. They don't just say "here's what there is to know" and that's it, they go a bit deeper. They give "rules of thumb" and the occasional joke here and there make learning even more entertaining, as well as the overall "gamification". (English isn't my first language, if you couldn't tell. Please forgive my misuse of words if there is any) So far, all courses seem to be based on a little scenario so you can see why this kind of skill could actually be used for. Guided projects help you understand how you build one yourself in each language. Really, no regret, I deeply enjoy Boot.dev Edit: Now that I think about it and I've seen it mentionned, I do struggle understanding assignments a bit too often. "What do they want?" is generally my problem when training BUT it's a recurring problem of mine not exclusive to my experience with Boot.dev yet it feels like it's worth mentionning since I'm not the only one to have this sentiment. And the quizzes can be pretty buggy (none of the offered answers is the right one) but they're new, so... Still, I'm quite satisfied.

one course down so far. started the typescript path with python as beginning. great experience is learning, solving challenges and exploring all the possible ways of answers thanks the learning companion boots. recommended for anyone with or without prior knowledge of coding since there is enough teaching and practice to go around. planning to go thru the backhand developer path as well as the develops and data analyst. there is something worth learning for everyone.

I've done a lot of courses over the years for learning engineering skills and concepts. Maybe TOO many (like I should just go out there and build!). However, not all are alike. Many have great content. Many have well designed course flows for the content. I guess the courses I'm thinking of are that. They're good! Back to my "however." However, Boot.dev is in a class of its own: excellent content that is UNIQUE (backend programming content is rarely this accessible and well designed), engaging challenges (in browser code editor, my OWN code editor with a CLI that checks me, this is diverse and engaging!), and a useful AI integration where it'll help you when stuck but not just give you the answer (very nice cause I'm here to learnnnnn). Highly recommended.
