First off, Cabintech has inventory of replacement / equivalent chips that have been discontinued by the original manufacturers. Some are plug in replacements and some need minor changes like SOP to DIP converters. Finding the original chips for servicing older analog equipment is near impossible due to lack of original chips. Cabintech makes finding and ordering replacement a breeze. For example, the PA381 VCA used in many analog devices is near impossible to find. I have paid more than $30 per chip when found, however the AS3380 available through Cabintech is about $5 and has the exact specs, other than the package. In general, it is easy to order, pay, and have delivered from Cabintech. I wish I had found them sooner!
