The customer service people of the Children’s Place at Gilroy Outlets were rude when I went to pick up my order. The looked very annoyed with eye rolls, and they were asking to each other who is going to attend the costumer. You should supervise more frequently the employees you hire.

A horrible experience today, August 7th 2025 at the Woodbridge location in VA. I spent $223 on girls uniforms and I was requested to pay for bag. The staff watched as I take all the stuff I purchased out without a bag. This is really bad that the staff couldn't give a bag of 15c to say thank you!!!

I placed an online order on Monday 10/14/24, my order is Still processing as of today 10/18/24 but the expected arrival date is 10/21/24. Called CS and apparently they are not located anywhere within the US as I was told it takes 3-7 business days for processing orders and today is the 19th so my order should be shipped sometime this weekend but it will still take 7-10 business days for my order to arrive. CS spent most of the call counting the days and estimating dates instead finding out WHY my order is still processing and basically giving me Scripted answers from whatever country she is in where it's currently Saturday 10/19/24. I am extremely skeptical that my order will be shipped and arrive anytime soon. Unable to cancel the order at this point since it's Processing for days on end.

I'm giving it only 2 stars because this is the first time I've ordered online. I usually go in the store. I ordered a few things for my son Wed night, thinking they would be shipped Thursday, Friday at the latest. Well, this thing is still saying it's being processed, it's been 4 dang days, but the weird thing is that it says it's arriving on August 20, which is Tuesday. I ordered some things from Carter's at the exact same time I ordered from here and Carter's is being delivered Tuesday, August 20. So, The Children's Place should be delivered that day as well, at least you would think, and it says it's arriving that day, but why didn't I get a email saying it was shipped and why does it still say it's processing? I'll add a screenshot below with it circled so you all can see. Also, I've emailed them trying to find out some info twice, but haven't been responded to and just found out today that they can't even be contacted on weekends, I can't believe that. The store itself is even open on weekends. Anyway, I need this order quickly and there's no reason whatsoever that nothing at all has been done other than them taking my money. I placed an order online for $55.29. I woke up today to see an additional charge for $55.45 pending on my card. When I called I was told online orders always have 2 charges: an authorization charge and the actual charge. I've ordered online many times with them and this has never happened. Not only that, but this is not a type of transaction that would require an authorization charge. The price was not going to change from the day I ordered it from the day it shipped. Usually authorization charges happen at the gas station, for for delivery or when there is a tip involved. That makes sense because the tip amount can change . I've never bought clothes from a company that feels the need to hold extra money just because they feel like it . So now I have 2 charges on my credit card for 2 amounts and they are telling me it takes a week to clear. I asked them what would happen if I didn't have the available credit or used a debit card instead, and they didn't have an answer. They refused to do anything to rectify the situation. I asked for a manager which they also refused. I asked for a gift card and they said $10 would be automatically applied to my account. I wish it would have just been sent as a gift card in separate email because I don't see it credited yet. I've ordered most of my kids Easter clothes and other clothes earlier this year with no issue. I'm not sure why they started doing these holds but they shouldn't. If I place an online order for a certain amount, that is the amount I would see debited from my account. I should not have to deal with duplicate charges when the money is already guaranteed otherwise why would you allow the order to go through is the card did not have the money available in the first place. I will not be ordering online with them again until they rectify this. I'm not going to pay twice for a single order! Absurd and inconvenient in this economy where every single dollar counts. Waiting a week to get my own money back is absolutely absurd and the fact they don't offer anything more than an sorry is incredibly poor service. They don't deserve your business even with their never ending sales...

I spent $65 at the Children's Place. The order came in two deliveries, one containing an item for $4.99 and the rest in a separate order: that's an order for just over $60. I was told that I had to take my items for return to a brick-and-mortar store, which I did do, but the computer at the store would accept only the $4.99 return, nothing else. I was told I had to contact The Children's Place customer service. After 30 minutes in the store, I called customer service. They insisted I would have to pay for the shipping return of the items. That call lasted 20 minutes, but I finally got them to give me a "one-time curtesy" pre-paid return. I've added one star for the "one-time curtesy," but I'm quite disappointed in this company. I didn't want to have to travel to the store to do the return, but I did it. I upheld my end of the bargain there, but I was quite disappointed that I had to fight to get them not to ask me to spend more of my money to do the return when the problem was on their end and not mine.

The prices and sizes are good.The quality of footed sleeper are horrible. The material is a thin fleece with horrible grippers at the bottom. My 1 year old slides all over our floor. The snow boots with glittler and a thin fur lining are hard and don't give. Upgrade your materials. The return policy for in store purchases are horrible. I may close my credit card and just purchase clothes for kids with Target. Montgomery malls items are picked over and the white lady customer service rep was a liar

I have ordered ALL of my kids clothes through them. I have had several issues when packages arrived with wrong sizes sent to me by THEIR ERROR. Customer service was impossible to get an answer from via email. Never received not one reply. Then contacting 1-800 number Took over 30 min to resolve the issue. One time I had to drive 45 min out of my way to nearest store to return items. Since their lawsuit, ALL PRICES HAVE GONE UP! Not too happy about this not at all!!! I have Credit account with them as well, which they lowered my limit for whatever reason without my knowledge. Then, using the lawsuit discounts, they do nothing at check out online for taking $$$ off. I won’t be ordering from here anymore unless they become American made and American customer service. Only then, I will pay these prices. I don’t support China made anymore. The prices are an inflation of price gouging big time and it’s just really sad the way this world has become. I really enjoyed shopping at this store for my children, as everything was very inexpensive and well made. I cannot pay these new prices since their settlement issue.
