A good idea with bad execution
The rollout of their latest KidScript version was a complete disaster. It wasn’t backward compatible with the previous version meaning your previous games no longer worked. Plus the new version is extremely laggy and uses all the resources of your computer until it either crashes or burns up. Kids are extremely frustrated and the guides spend the lesson time just cleaning up the mess. I’ve also had extremely different experiences with different guides. Some really know what they’re doing - they’re good with the kids and can actually help them solve complex coding issues instead of just copying and pasting the missions. Others don’t know the answer to basic things and promise to follow up but don’t (chances are they won’t be assigned for subsequent lessons). The kids do enjoy the program but with all the glitches and frustrations the lessons end up being a waste of time. Too bad.

We are so sorry that this update was an inconvenience for your kids in their classes. While we did run tests and a handful of mods prior to the roll out, we were not able to catch all possible errors. Thank you for taking time to give thoughtful feedback to help us build a better product! We also try our best to accomodate guide preferences if families have a guide in particular they want to work with. Again, feedback from our families is always welcome. We will be reaching out to you to see if we can provide additional context and solutions.
