Overall, my experience at Collegewise was superb. As someone who didn't know a single thing about how to start a college application, the team at Collegewise did an amazing job at helping me get through them. They also did an outstanding job at making my personal essay and supplements better in every shape and form. I definitely recommend anyone to go with Collegewise for their application. P.S. Liz is an amazing counselor!

We could not be more thankful to Collegewise and all of the support they provided getting our high schooler ready for their next big thing. The first advice we give to every high school parent we meet is to call CollegeWise. I have no doubt that our son would not have stretched himself with his courses, his grades, his exams or his applications if he had not been guided by his counselor, Liz. He had so much respect for her and her advice and it allowed us as parents to give him more ownership of the process and this next phase of his life. Our senior applied to 11 schools and his first choice was in his "stretch" school list. But in the end, he received offers from 10 schools including his first choice. I truly believe this was only possible because he had the push and guidance from a "neutral" and knowledgeable third party he respected. It was also incredibly helpful that we started this process early enough that he could get advice on his high school schedule, exam scores, and extra-curriculars with time to adjust. And the check ins with his counselor were a great way to motivate him to work a bit harder during the school year. Their communication was excellent and I was always at peace with trusting the process. It was worth every penny.

I am so grateful we made the decision to hire Collegewise. We wanted the perspective of someone with a view of the entire country to help with the college admissions process. I didn't want to be the evil dictator in the whole process. And I didn't even know how to BE the evil dictator! It's so much different than it was 30 years ago when her father and I were entering college. My daughter was matched up with Rahsaan Burroughs at the beginning of Junior year. I got to sit back and watch, learn new things, learn about schools I'd never heard of. Rahsaan did all the hard work for me. He advised her on college selection, of course, but also other things like high school course selection, taking standardized tests, and writing essays. In the end, she was accepted at 10 of her 12 Collegewise choices and will be attending her #1 pick in the fall.

Jon was an excellent tutor who was extremely patient and helpful! He was able to adjust to my learning style and helped me to become more proficient in reading comprehension, among other things. I would highly recommend his tutoring to anybody I know!

Jon Tarella was my math tutor for quite some time in high school. He did a terrific job with explaining and teaching me how to do all the math problems for the ACT and now I am happily in college!

Jon Tarella was an incredible resource to me, enriching my math and science repertoire in high school, enabling me to earn admission to my dream college. Jon is patient, thoughtful, wise, and all around a good person, who will generate marked improvement in each subject. My two brothers, and I had the good fortune to work with Jon all throughout high school. Whomever has Jon as a tutor is lucky; he has my unwavering endorsement!

Jon is an excellent math tutor. My son had never needed a tutor before, but he wasn't understanding his precalc teacher junior year of high school. Jon was able to explain everything to him in a much clearer way, and he did great in the class as a result. I would highly recommend Jon for any math help!

I had a great experience working with Nicole Pilar at Collegewise. She helped me with every decision along the way. Her positive attitude and encouragement made this process so much better. Since Sophomore year, Nicole has helped me write essays, pick classes, get involved with extracurriculars and much more!
