The BEST Home Warranty Service EVER!!! Finally a company that stands behind their commitment and not hide behind the "small" Print!

I was provided an authorization code in advance and then they denied my claim. What is the point of having a warranty if they just find a way out of it? Their technician "Ashley" stated my authorization code was not an authorization code, despite me reading the email to her. She refused to give me supervisor information and then hung up on me. I attempted to call back twice and no technicians have picked up since. They are clearly a scam company and their employees are unprofessional. My experience does not matter to them, but hopefully my review will prevent someone else from making the same mistake I did by giving them my business. I contacted my realtor, a family friend, so that she and her clients will no longer use Complete Protection. I told every person in the market for a home and/or warranty about my experience too because in this economy, with inflation so high, it's inhumane to take someone's hard earned money, give them false reassurance that they are protected, and then deny a valid claim.

Hi JB. In reviewing your account it appears you first opened your claim in early May, but never followed through with getting service until late July, after your plan had expired. We sent you notifications that the plan was going to expire, as well as multiple offers to renew, which you did not take advantage of. We simply cannot open claims and pay for service for accounts that are expired as I'm sure you can understand. We wish you the best.

Unfortunately, they are not a good company to work with. More hoops to jump through than a circus. I got their premium package for $900, however only covers an aggregate maximum of $1000 on most things. If they decide you need a new appliance only covers a few hundred dollars. I should have read the fine print before signing up. I had an approved claim for $320 for someone to look at a leak I had, they provided an estimate to repair it which was going to cost $2200, and they said they would only cover $680 as I would hit the $1000 maximum reimbursement. They wanted me to do a bunch of work to get the estimate in their format with their information. Too many hoops, not worth the premium. I canceled, and they are prorating and deducting the $320. Not a good way to run a business.

We're very sorry to hear you were disappointed with our service and would like to address the assertions in your complaint. Our 2-page terms and conditions document is standard 12 pt. font, is on our website to view at any time, and was also provided to you upon enrollment. There is no "fine print" as you mentioned. You've prefaced your own statement by explaining that you did not read the terms and conditions for your plan. We strongly advise everyone to read their terms and conditions, as this is the only way to know what they are buying and the full extent of their protection. The refund procedure outlined in the terms was also explained to you via email by a manager before you proceeded with cancellation. You were advised that claims were calculated on a prorated basis, minus any claims approved and a $25 administration fee. The claims procedure outlined in the terms was also included in the service request email that you were sent when you opened your claim. Asking for a diagnosis of failure and broken down estimate of charges from a licensed technician is standard practice and necessary to approve claims. And finally to clarify, the $680 was never approved, you were informed that $680 was the remaining amount of your plumbing aggregate. We were trying to determine if the repair was within protection, since by your own provided descriptions, the repair was not protected. At that point we asked to verify the diagnosis and estimate with your service company in order to provide you with a final determination, however you decided to move forward with cancellation instead. Again, we regret you were not happy with your plan, however, we have provided services exactly as promised.

HI Ken! We are so happy to hear that you are enjoying your service with us! And we truly appreciate your kind words and your recommendation of our company to others. Don't forget to tell any referrals to use your name upon enrollment so you may both get $30 off a month of service! :)

I have been with CAP for about 5+ years and have not had any issues. I have submitted 2 claims and both paid according to contract. From a microwave to air conditioner. I have found that their vendors have a good reputation. I do wish they would do yearly AC maintenance and possibly send out a reminder (just a little wish list smile)

Have had CP for the last two years. Recently my washing machine broke. I called and received an immediate approval. I love that I can choose my own repair company. They came out and diagnosed the issue and CP approved the repair. Love the zero deductible and the fact that they paid our bill quickly.

I called Jacky to make sure they would cover my refrigerator and microwave repairs, however they declined both. The microwave was an older GE model that was a built in when I bought the house 6 years ago. The technician said it needed a new magnetron and diode that would cost $300 with parts and labor. The tech spoke with Jacky and advised her that a new microwave of the same type but newer model would cost $1200. Jacky said because it was old she would not replace it but give me $125 for a new one (Hahaha like that will cover the price). Then the tech said my refrigerator needed a new condenser, compressor, evaporator, heat exchange, dryer filter, and Freon. He advised that the cost to repair would be $2,800. He told Jacky that it would be worth repairing because a new one is upwards of $10,000 for a subzero. I was standing next to the repair tech when he was discussing this with Jacky. I then got on the phone with Jacky to discuss if they would fix it. She said they would not fix it because it was too old and the tech told her they no longer had parts to repair it (LIE). I advised her that wasn’t true that the tech was on the phone with subzero checking on all the parts which they said they had in stock. She then said it’s too old, so they won’t repair it. She said they would issue $500 toward a new refrigerator upon purchase and submittal of the receipt. Don’t wast your time with this company as they make they’re own decisions when to make a repair. I realize the company that came out to assess the appliances wasn’t great but I asked Jacky if they had any referrals in my area that they recommended, however she said they did not.

Thank you for your feedback. We pride ourselves on being completely transparent about what is and is not covered under our warranty products. All of our payout dollar values are listed on our website, our marketing pieces, and on our terms and conditions, which is available for download and is also provided to each customer upon enrollment. Like any warranty company, we have the sole discretion in approving or denying repairs. If a repair is declined, a payout towards replacement is issued. We do not offer full replacement, nor do we claim to offer this. The refrigerator in question is upwards of 30 years old and a new refrigerator could easily be purchased for the cost of the repairs needed. Most consumers don't have $10,000 refrigerators and most warranties, including ours, are not designed to protect high-end or commercial-grade appliances such as this. The microwave in question is 20 years old and requires replacement of all the major internal parts. All this being said, we regret you feel disappointed but feel your claims were handled fairly and exactly as promised under your plan with us.
