I’m a charter captain and I bought costas earlier this year and used them pretty much daily. I also paid for the warranty. Recently the plastic nose piece has fallen off and some scratches on the lenses. I tried to take advantage of the warranty however apparently the warranty I paid for only covers manufacturing defects. Why would I pay for a warranty that pretty much only covers the product if it comes already damaged. I think the warranty is a scam and transitively costas as well and therefor I will never recommend them or any other brand associated with the luxottica company. Please if you’re reading this just get Maui Jim’s. They are better anyway

Continued scam alert. Been fighting Costa for weeks. Returned sunglasses but they will not credit the return. Costa keeps claiming that they will provide the refund credit within 5 days, but it never arrives. When you ask to escalate the issue, they promise to respond within 5 days. They actualy had a customer service rep thank me for shopping with Ray Ban. Their return policy is a scam--beware and go buy a pair of Maui Jims. Been a customer for 20 years but I'm done.
