Case No. 7QBB2AH2THINS Emails are not allowed in this review. I have spent hours sending you the same information time and time again. time=money. While I am doing this I am not working and earning a living. They keep asking for the same information time and time again. I keep replying but nothing is ever done. I will not be responding on here again. It is nothing to do with rental cover.

SCAMMERS-DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
SCAMMERS! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
I purchased ‘Xcover’ insurance for myself and my daughter, prompted by booking.com. Went on holiday where my daughter got an ear infection and was classed as unfit to fly. We had to stay an extra 3 days. I got home and immediately out a claim in for the money I had to spend to stay, £1500! After several attempts at submitting my claim as they kept telling me I wasn’t providing sufficient evidence, they finally said I’d successful submitted everything correctly! Was told to wait 5 days, it’s now 5 wks!! They randomly emailed me saying ‘hey Daniela’ we haven’t heard from you so we’re closing the ticket!, I immediantig emailed back saying my name is actually Nicola and I was waiting for a response about my claim! Ever since then I’ve been ghosted, emails no longer monitored, can’t speak to anyone! After doing some digging, I’ve found a fb page designated purely on people that have been scammed by this very company, all if which have the same story as me! I’ve then found more people complaining on tiktok! I have 130k followers between TikTok and other platforms and believe me, after reading what I have tonight, everyone will know XCOVER tomorrow! Absolutely disgusted in all of it. I’m a single mum that was stuck in Cyprus with my daughter and I put all my faith in this company to help me. Well, I now realise they were never going to pay out!

Dissatisfied Customer
I successfully submitted a claim on 4 July 2026 and it is 4 September 2026 and I have not received a response (QFZE3-RQ7B8-INS). As of today, my claim has been outstanding for two months. This significantly exceeds XCover’s stated standard processing window of 3 business days.I have actively checked my online account and confirmed that the claim status is marked as "Submitted" and "Under Assessment." I was unable to travel and was in the emergency room, and had an infection that took a couple of weeks to resolve. I submitted all required documents. I am very frustrated with the process and would be hesitant to recommend this company in the future.

One star: Coverage limitations were not made clear at checkout
This company operates XCover. I purchased XCover protection while buying approximately $300 in concert tickets through AXS. At checkout, the coverage was described in general terms, with covered reasons said to be available in the policy documents. However, I was not shown the actual policy documents or the complete, extremely narrow list of covered circumstances before purchasing. Had that list been presented clearly, I would have known that this protection would be of little value for the type of genuine emergency I was concerned about, and I would have declined.
After waiting nearly a year to adopt, my wife and I received an unexpected, last-minute match with an expectant mother in another state. Adoption waiting periods can range from weeks to years, and prospective parents have no control over when a match occurs. We obviously needed to cancel our trip & concert attendance to be present for the arrival and placement of our child. This is precisely the kind of unforeseeable, life-changing circumstance for which I believed I was purchasing protection.
XCover denied the claim because adoption was not one of its specifically enumerated covered events. More troublingly, its response placed our situation under language concerning “changes in your personal plans” and compared our adoption match to "weddings, anniversaries, dinner parties, lifestyle changes, or conflicting social plans." Characterizing the unexpected placement of a child as if we had simply chosen to attend another social engagement was extraordinarily insensitive.
The problem is not merely that this particular claim was denied. It is that XCover sells “protection” during the AXS checkout process without making the narrow coverage list sufficiently prominent for a customer to make an informed decision. For a relatively modest loss like concert tickets, customers must also decide how much documentation, correspondence and time they can reasonably spend pursuing reimbursement.
I will never purchase XCover again.

EDITING to include xCover's below reply: Their "escalation" team simply pointed me to the terms and conditions and continued not to acknowledge anything specific about my experience. They simply shared boilerplate language to again justify why my claim was denied.

Absolutely useless
Absolutely useless, in fact near nonexistent, customer service. Steer clear.
I booked travel and cancellation insurance through XCover as an add on when booking a flight. When I checked the policy, the dates were wrong, and the wording said travel was to Armenia - but I also needed cover for Georgia. (This is mandatory, and entry may be denied if my policy wording is not clear).
Although the cover is for 90 days, and should apply in Georgia, I could not amend the details myself online. No telephone number is given, and emails to the help centre produced only generic AI responses, and then complete silence. An online complaint submission didn't even get the courtesy of an automated acknowledgement email.
I fly tomorrow, and will likely have to take out alternative insurance, just to be safe. So that's £28 down the drain. Whatever happens, I will never, ever use XCover again.
XCover's AI bots seem to respond to a fair percentage of the many, many negative reviews. Each time they claim they'd love to help, but can't find the case number. So, for all the good it will do, here it is: AVKUG-V2MHN-INS
EDIT: As expected, they've posted a generic reply inviting me to get in touch via their online form - which I have of course already done. But they have simply given AI generated responses that didn't resolve the problem, and then stopped responding altogether.
They've since had the gall to ask for my feedback on their nonexistent response!
Bunch of clowns. God only knows what they'd be like in the event that a customer had to actually make a claim.
