Crisis Medicine provides fully online, CAPCE-accredited Tactical Casualty Care training for military personnel, law enforcement, fire, EMS, and prepared individuals. Each course is self-paced. We train TECC and TCCC guidelines together in each course. These courses use photographs of actual injuries, diagrams of wounds, and step-by-step demonstrations. The material is presented in an easy-to-understand, directly applicable way. Certificates of completion are issued upon finishing each course. All courses are designed and taught exclusively by Dr. Mike Shertz, a former Special Forces 18D medic and dual-boarded Emergency Medicine and EMS physician. Dr. Shertz served as medical director and embedded tactical medic for a multi-agency law enforcement tactical team for more than 20 years. Dr. Shertz balances the medical literature with operational and tactical experience..Using real-world case studies, practical demonstrations, and medical literature reviews, each course helps students understand not just what to do, but when to do it, and how best to do it.Crisis Medicine has been training students since 1999 and launched a fully online program in 2017, with thousands of students globally: from individual first responders to entire law enforcement agencies and pre-deployment military units. Our courses are constantly updated and the material revised to reflect changes in experience and evidence.Full administrative reporting and lesson tracking are available for organizations managing training at scale. If you are vetting this program for your team or your unit, the credentials, the curriculum, and the track record are here.
