I feel like Zach has created a lot of value for this community and used his bootcamps as a means to elevate those seeking Data Engineer roles. I see few willing to put up so many valuable insights for free. In an age of AI, you need to evaluate the education against what an LLM can do. His bootcamps don't have an LLM feature, but they will teach you concepts and practices that surpass what it will provide

Great bootcamp for all the levels

Well paced, no fluff. Clear modules on SQL, Python, data modeling, and pipeline concepts. Zach knows the craft and keeps it simple. Free access and active community add real value. Strong recommend.

I started free beginners bootcamp in August. At first, it felt overwhelming as someone who doesn’t naturally focus on code, I was searching for how to apply what I learned. But over time, listening to Zach’s lectures slowly sometimes pausing every ten seconds just to really understand helped me realize how much illusion disappears when you truly see the logic. His content is brutally honest, and while it’s hard, it brings clarity. The biggest value for me was not just learning data pipelines, but understanding why you want to be a data engineer, what mindset it requires, and what you can actually bring to a business. I realized that beyond technical skills, what engineers really need is adaptability, critical thinking, and emotional resilience. This bootcamp showed that the real world is messy nobody gives you the “right” answer, you just keep testing, learning, and using new AI tools to help yourself. It’s a mental gym for your neurons. I still have two lessons left, but it already feels like just the beginning. The knowledge here truly matters for real companies. And more than anything, it taught me to stay open to people, to questions, and to constant learning. 10000000/10 - absolutely worth your time if you want to test yourself and see what you’re capable of.

Zach’s course has been one of the most practical and easy-to-follow learning experiences I’ve had. The amount of value packed into a free course is truly impressive and speaks to the quality and effort behind the program. It makes me curious and excited to imagine what the premium version of this content would look like. This kind of teaching not only builds skills but also inspires confidence, which is why I am eager to continue learning under Zach’s guidance.

Its informative - covering concepts I'm pretty sure wouldnt be found easily elsewhere, unless one was in the trenches at tech companies - and entertaining! Zach is such a great presence and he has given out insane value for free.
