There were a lot of issues
Although the support are great and were able to help resolve them, for me, someone who decided to try dedicatedmc for the first time, I’d rather stick to my previous host because of all the issues I had to face.

Don’t use for mods
Does not support mods and couldn’t get a refund because of discount

Hey there, Demir.
I'm saddened you decided to leave a negative review after your experience with us. After thoroughly looking through your case, I can see you have had a lot of communication with our support team, and at no point in time have we ever said, implied, or given the impression that mods are unsupported on our platform. The support agent in question only told you that the modpack you wanted to install, namely The Kingdom of Daldar, offered no server support from its Curseforge page and therefore setting it up to work on a server would be your responsibility as the server owner, as opposed to being something we could offer assistance or support with. We had merely offered alternatives, such as picking a more recent up to date modpack that has out-of-the-box server support, but you chose to become hostile and aggressive instead.
After you made 9 tickets in a day demanding we fix a modpack that hasn't been updated in 3 years, you had asked for a refund which as per our Terms of Service, we cannot offer you as you used a discount code. This has always been our policy and the support agent in question was within his rights to deny this request. These terms are the same ones you agreed to when ordering a service at checkout.
I wish things had happened differently and I'm disappointed it came to this. I wish you the best of luck in your future hosting endeavors.

Bad.
Cheap. Bad.
I would say you get what you pay for, but where dedicatedmc gives 2014-era xeon chips, pebblehost gives i7-7700k for cheaper. Support was very professional, and my refund was processed very fast. They also had very useful server optimization tips/tools, but that doesn't negate the 16-18 tps IDLE that i got.

Hey Opaldotjs,
I've had some time to review what you've said and gone through all of our logged data to view what might have been happening. It seems that you uploaded your own custom world which was causing vanilla world gen lag and tanking your TPS. Under the same loads monitored on the same exact plan and on a 7700, (not K) version perform at stable 20 TPS under the same variables except your world. So we believe this might have been related to your world.
We've looked through your ticket history and you've never reached out to us once for help about your server or your world on how to optimize it better but chose to ask for a refund as your first point of order and gave little to no explanation as to why, which is why we were inclined to oblige your request.
We never want people to feel like they're not getting what they paid for, but we cannot help you if you do not ask for any help.
Regards,
Tehlo - Marketing Director
This host may be a good choice for you if you've never run a server before, but for anything more than that, I would avoid it.
While the hardware offerings were okay for their pricing (not entirely competitive, and that was my opinion before the recent price hike), anything beyond that ranged from bearable to off-putting.
Most egregiously, I have never seen a team of directors+support agents who are so vehemently hostile towards their customers; any support question which reached beyond even the slightest technical boundary was immediately beyond the reach of the support agents and thrown to the directors, where it was met with extremely unprofessional snarky, borderline-insulting responses. I don't understand how a company would pride itself in making their customers uncomfortable, and I also know I wasn't alone in that sentiment.
Until very recently, and since a while ago, backups were impossible to create and required us to create a workaround solution of our own, which felt like putting in more effort than was being put in from the host's side.
Beyond that, the experience was "fine", the "raw power panel" is not much different from your standard Pterodactyl panel and the "dedicated" core pinning still led to CPU starvation at times. (the naming is all just marketing), but none of it was nearly enough to offset the negative experience from support.

Hi there Emil,
Sorry to hear your experience with our services hasn't been up to par in your experience. After having read your review I'd like to shine some light on a few parts of it.
To start, one of things we are praised for the most is our incredibly fast and in-depth Support by both our Support Agents and us Directors. Just take a scroll through our Trustpilot and you'll see nothing but loving reviews about our Support, something we are really passionate about and strive to always be the best it can be. I've asked around the team and nobody recalls any recent tickets of yours, and we've even looked back through logs. We weren't able to find any of your tickets or even tickets where you've been treated improperly by our Support Agents or Directors. You've been the first to mention any of this, and as such we aren't able to agree with your own statements; you have thus been alone in this sentiment unlike your own statement.
Next to that, we've been working on our backups non-stop to improve our system, listening to feedback from our community, running tests and even talking with the Backup Solution Providers to see what is going on. For people that make frequent backups we indeed also recommend running your own backups (more backups never hurt anyone) just to be safe. We are still working on our backup system and it has already been improved on in the last few weeks.
Lastly, we've looked through tickets and haven't actually received a CPU performance issue related ticket in over multiple months. The CPU performance we allocate has been proven multiple times by our own tests and all of the over 1800 servers running in production that it works properly, and doesn't have any starvation issues. If you are hitting the CPU limit, you can simply request more CPU % in a ticket to make sure your server is still running properly. None of our naming is marketing, we do full Dedicated Resources, are strictly against overselling and have tons of information to back this up (our Public status pages including our very in-depth Grafana page).
If there is anything you'd still like to share with us or shine some extra light on the situation, please don't hesitate to reach out to us on either Discord or Email.
Thank you.

Decent Servers, Lackluster Support
Pricing: Fair for the hardware, often provides discounts for new signups.
Panels: Functions well with easily accessible tools and resources for file managing, unfortunately does not support URL downloads from Google Drive, and some other locations, and downloading folders requires zipping and auto-renaming to often times confusing filenames when multiple exist (i.e. archive-*random letters/numbers*) File editing works well.
Billing: Have not had any issues in regards to billing, auto-renewal worked fine for me and did not use the manual payment system once.
Support: Here is where I had most of my issues in regards to this company.
Firstly, while they advertise their pride in quick response times, often times the support staff who responded quickly had little to no access to information that I needed, and had to elevate to directors or other staff that would oftentimes take longer, however not extremely significant amounts of time (20-30m extra at worst).
Secondly, contacting support in regards to server performance issues gave me little help, only explaining to try launching with or without certain flags, and otherwise being left to figure out issues independently. While there is immense complexity to figuring out these issues with the wide variety of server types, mods, etc., something a bit more assistive would have been appreciated.
Thirdly, for a circumstance in which I wanted to transfer a panel's ownership and billing to a separate user, it took an obscene amount of confirmations and explanations to do so, with oftentimes conflicting information from various support due to issues explained prior. While transferring of panels may be uncommon, I would expect it not require this level of chaos to handle.
Finally, my last server I hosted with them I quickly cancelled due to transferring to a new provider (~2 days). I was not sure if refunds (partial or full) would be available, but decided to ask support after cancelling if they were, after being informed by a support staff they were available within 48 hours of payment period, they were unable to retrieve information on when I made my payment, when I made my cancellation request, and cited that the request via a ticket had to be made within that time, regardless of the time of cancellation. Thankfully due to the director being called, I was issued a full refund and explained that they do in-fact calculate refunds based on time between payment and cancellation, something that seemed to be a discrepancy between them and the other support staff.
Performance: 99%:1% Uptime:Downtime. While I do not recall the exact circumstances as to why it occurred, there was a brief downtime for many servers that after being resolved, they automatically started all panels regardless of the state the servers were on prior to this incident, resulting in my purposefully shutdown server being launched automatically, something that should have been planned out better.

Hey Viyzen,
Let me begin to preface this saying that we appreciate the time you took to write out such a detailed review, How ever, someone of what you have said needs clarification;
Your statement about our panel requires a bit of a tweak. Our panel does support URL Downloads from Google Drive, as it does most other places. The issue comes that Google Drive requires verification first and you need to be able to add that in the URL that you provide. This is not something we can bake into the panel as the button just runs a `curl` command. If you have other types of download managers or places you've tried, we'd be happy to take your feedback and have you make a bug report on our GitHub so we can fix it. The file names are based on when the archive was created timestamp wise (and with a tar.gz file extension which is normal for Linux based servers), and comes standard for Pterodactyl Software. You can rename these files to more recognizable names easily in our panel as well.
You also had pointed out that our support staff who answered you quickly often had little to no access to the information you needed, but the tickets you've made recently have all been answered promptly by our staff with the information you've given them. Refunds, anything pertaining to billing has always required Director or Tier 2 billing oversight because of the level of access needed to do anything with the given information, and as most of the Directors are also working full-time and are not readily available, we endeavor to answer these inquiries as quickly as possible.
You stated that we have given little help in terms of server performance issues. Our support is limited for ALL clients to the Support Guidelines. Support Agents do not go outside of guidelines except when ABSOLUTELY necessary and do so at their own discretion. Issues pertaining to specific server-side mod configurations and other issues that have to do with modpack conflicts are all issues that are not covered by the support guidelines.
There was also mention of an excessive amount of verification needed for panel transfers. This is a precautionary measure because it has happened before that clients want their panel transferred or certain subusers request panel transfers and end up being fraudulent or malicious. We want there to be complete verification that the action is confirmed and verified by both parties, and to ask for specifics and verification, we believe ensures that we maintain the integrity and trust of our clients. No one wants to have a server stolen from them. This is how we prevent that.
Lastly, and what I feel is the majority of your issue, You stated that "after being informed by a support staff they were available within 48 hours of payment period, they were unable to retrieve information on when I made my payment". This is completely false. The support agent that was busy with your ticket had duly informed you that your inquiry fell outside of the regular Terms of Service refund window, and clearly stated that you were already 3 days past the original payment window. The difference being that you were talking about a cancellation and a refund after that was done. The Support Agent handling your inquiry did not have access to that kind of information and proceeded to elevate it to a Director for assistance because it fell outside of his scope. That Director being Tehlo . He had promptly explained to you that he made a decision on your refund request based on the time of cancellation, where you had made a false statement saying that the Support Agent in question had incorrectly informed you that refunds were based on ticket creation time instead of cancellation time, where no such claim was ever made. He made an exception for you out of courtesy based on the time you've been with us because regardless of whether or not it was based on ticket creation time and cancellation request, you still fell outside of our Terms of Service window for refunds.
Next time, please reach out to us first about issues like you've mentioned, because only 1 of everything you've brought up you told us about in a ticket. If you need a transcript of the ticket, I am happy to provide it to you, though I am sure you were sent it as the bot does that on ticket close.
Best of luck with your hosting future and I hope that you continue to enjoy this wonderful game as many of us do!

Lost Data and Broken Setups
We were having a grand old time with our hosting service. Honestly, great power and a great panel. That was up until a month or so into hosting when they lost all database data in an effort to swap to MariaDB, which their version choice was incompatible with the MySQL setup they had previously. This was completely unannounced until 5 minutes before it was happening, and the results left our server dead in the water without data and reforms to the system that would need to be reflected in our code just for basic function.
Very fast customer response time, but when facing a complete and utter failure of service such as losing data then implementing system changes that prevent plugin function with zero heads-up, the most you'll get is 'If it's not working you can purchase a database elsewhere'.
If you need a network, just get a full system to yourself. It's not worth the headache when they break your system then refuse to fix it. If you just need a single powerful server, then hey, it's better than other shared hosts.
