DEN OutdoorsReviews of denoutdoors.com

We chose DEN Outdoors for our project and couldn’t be happier with the result. Their architectural design is beautiful, and the ease of the build made bringing it to life such a rewarding experience. We love the clean, modern style and how the finished home feels in its wooded setting. A lot of credit goes to the DEN team for creating a design we’re proud to build. Highly recommend!

The DEN system is incredibly clever and well thought out. We came very close to going prefab and are actually still considering it for another project because we were so impressed with the system and the team. For this house, we ultimately decided to go much more custom, and the result is turning into an absolute dream. Mike, the founder, eventually got personally involved, and the professionalism, architectural taste, and attention to detail he and the DEN team brought to the project were exactly what we needed. They understood what we were trying to create and helped turn it into something better than we had imagined. Now comes the exciting part: actually building the house! Thank you to Mike and the entire DEN team. We could not be happier with the experience so far.

I had a great experience working with DEN Outdoors on a customized plan! The staff were easy to work with and communicated throughout the process. The plans were a great base from which we made some modifications. DEN is a great option for people looking for plans for a design-forward home!

From the onset, I knew I had made the right decision in purchasing plans from DEN. The branding, the socials, the website, and the product catalogue all drew me in. Even beyond that, the back story, the ease of process, and the totality of resources to help make an otherwise overwhelming series of decisions that come with planning a home build, were very attractive, and easy to navigate. But the team beyond the work is what deserves the shine. From the moment I made the decision to purchase plans I have been impressed with the level of detail and attention that comes with the product. The product onboarding and dashboard system is a great planning space. The resources included beyond the house plans allowed me to think through my project more holistically. But the level of service you get is their crowning achievement. I did not expect to be sitting face-to-face on Zoom with the CEO discussing my life goals and plans for the home. I was not expecting for multiple people within the company to be so clued in to what I want to achieve. Nor did I anticipate how helpful they would be in helping me find a Builder to work with, nonetheless one who is just as excited to be working with DEN too. From top to bottom a great experience. Even in the early stages of my process their assistance has been invaluable. Mike and the team are genuine and are invested in your success. The designs are beautiful and vast. They are all very well thought out. The ability to customize plans to your tastes, demonstrates their desire for your project to be uniquely yours, without placing limitations on your visions. I also love that there is proof of concept out in the world - showing you that your goals are not only possible, but exist out for you to witness. I am so excited to launch the build soon, and I am confident that I am buying not only great plans, but great access to a dedicated team. Great product. Better company. Thanks DEN!

I can't say enough about Mike and his team at Den Outdoors. We launched our first Short Term Rental in November 2025 using a Den design that we heavily modified to make it truly ours. At that stage, we were working directly with our contractor, so Mike and I didn’t have direct interaction, but every change we made was turned around quickly. Our goal was simple - build something that didn't exist in our market. Eight months in as first-time STR owners and operators, we are the top-performing rental in our market across ALL rentals. The design catches people’s attention, and we provide unmatched hospitality. The question we get more than any other? "Who designed your cabin?" We're now building our second cabin and decided to go back to Den for another design. This time we went directly to Mike from the beginning. We've exchanged multiple emails and had a dedicated one-on-one call to work through every detail of the new design. He never once rushed me, let me think out loud, and is helping us create another unique property. We have partnered with a local builder and added him to the Den Projects Dashboard so he can review changes and see all the plans that Den created and download what he needs to complete the project. It couldn't be easier. Mike and his team are true professionals who genuinely care about getting it right for their clients. If you're building an STR and want a design that sets you apart, I highly recommend Den outdoors.

Beyond thrilled with DEN Outdoors and could not recommend them more - their designs are stunning, the team is a joy to work with and the possibilities to customize are endless. They truly have a plan fit for every unique project. The plans are extremely detailed and make permitting a breeze. Not to mention the cost savings of having a well design plan during construction when time is quite literally money. I just completed my 4th DEN build within the last 4 years. Not only as a customer am I thrilled with the results every time, but our team of contractors and sub contractors also rave about how easy the plans provided from DEN makes their jobs. Whether you choose an existing plan, customize one into your dream design or go with one of their prefab models - you just can’t go wrong. Mike and his team continuously go above and beyond for their customers. Purchasing plans from DEN is just the start; you can feel how invested the team is in the experience they are providing. Working with DEN is what building a dream home should feel like. It is the reason customers like myself return time and time again.

The quality and creativity stands out most with DEN. I still have the construction process to go through, but so far DEN has held up their end of the deal! 😊 I intend to write reviews throughout my process … as of now, I expect them all to be 5 stars!!! The quality of the plans I purchased is superb.

DEN Outdoors three packages available provide flexible assistance for a building project. Their Planning Package, Building Package, or consideration to use the Prefab Package give great check points to validate time to complete and budget projections.
