I was a little hesitant at first, but we've had two great experiences with DogVacay - once caring for our dog for an afternoon and once for a weekend. The reservation and payment system is efficient, and both caregivers were knowledgable and qualified.

Dog Vacay is a fantastic option when boarding a dog, especially over longer periods. It's a tool to connect people and dog owners should do their homework before boarding their dog. Talk to the people over the phone, be honest about your dogs quirks and make sure the hosts are comfortable. We've only had one questionable experience when a host wouldn't let us inside her home. It raised a red flag and we decided not to leave our pup there. Dog Vacay provided a full refund and we found another host through the service that was perfect. Point is, Dog Vacay is a tool to connect people. A fantastic tool that we use often. BUT owners need to be responsible and conduct due diligence just as they would in researching a kennel or even a baby sitter for a child.

We have never really left our two older schnauzers with anyone but family and close friends. When no one was available to watch them for a recent family reunion we weren't sure what we were going to do. Then we came across DigVacay. I'm not gonna lie, I was nervous to leave my dogs with someone I didn't know. The process of picking a dog sitter was easy and painless. She lived close by, was quick to respond and listen to our concerns and put us at ease. The dogs did great, the process was painless and everyone was happy. I'd definitely use DogVacay again.

We have 2 puppy mill survivors & are super picky about who we choose to watch them. Dog Vacay has even stepped up & helped us when looking for a sitter. Yay!!

Carol does a wonderful job of providing a comfortable home based environment for our dogs when we are on vacation.

I am supremely satisfied with the 2 dog watchers I've had watch after my dog. Each charged their own rate and had thing that they each did well. Doggy Vacay made it easy to get those people some business and made it easy for me to confidently drop my dog off while I was away.
