Website easy to navigate. Company response to questions exceptionally prompt. Two out of three sitters contacted were very personable. One sitter who was unable to accommodate my boarding request went the extra step of recommending an alternate sitter.

I was delighted to find DogVacay online recently after the housesitter I had hired to look after my pets cancelled at the last minute! Nancy, who kept both my dogs for me at a very reasonable price cared for them as well as I would have done. They were even treated to an outing to the dog park. They were happy to see me when I retrieved them but displayed no stress at all. I plan to use DogVacay (and Nancy) every time I travel!

Make the 7% administration fee clearer. Charged $20 to cancel a booking after I met the host and decided not to go with them? That's just criminal not to mention VERY POOR USER EXPERIENCE.

DogVacay is committed to the safety of our Guest pups, and this fee allows us to offer even more peace of mind through services such as Host background checks and additional education and training. This non-refundable fee adds 7% (up to a $50 cap) to each reservation. Some Guests may see lower fees or no fee at all, depending on their registration date. The total cost, including this Trust & Safety fee, will be displayed prior to checkout. However, if a Guest goes to a Meet N Greet with a Host and it is determined that it is not a good fit, we strive to provide that Guest with a full refund. I love having DogVacay as my go-to spot to look for boarding for our small dog (ShihTzu) when she can't travel with us. No matter where I seem to look, there are kind dog sitters waiting to take in your precious pet. I'm happy to use DogVacay as our "little girl" was a rescue dog who had previously been with a breeder locked in a cage. I prefer having her in a loving home rather than boarded in a kennel--she spent too much of her life in a cage. Check it out, DogVacay has some wonderful people waiting to care for your pet.
