The only plus side of these is that they are slightly more comfortable than regular earplugs. But they're claims to block out snoring are completely false. At the most they slightly lower the volume but that's it. You can still hear the snoring and it still keeps you awake. Very disappointed.

I just don't get all the glowing reviews of this product. Seriously. I used them on an especially hot day yesterday when we were subjected to horrible noise from the pool and play area of our apartment. I knew that I would need something really significantly great during these hot summer months of loud, shrieking children assaulting our living space all day long. I use store-bought foam plugs most of the time, but due to the reviews of these plugs I had hoped they would work to drown out more of the noise. In short, they absolutely did NOT. Not one bit better than what I usually use. Plus, due to body warmth, once inserted into my ear canal they became so soft that when it was time to take them out I had to tweeze them out, bit by bit, and I even feared that some of the wax particles would not come out at all. They would not come out all in one nice, safe piece. I had a blue mess of soft wax in my ear and under my fingernails by the time I was done fishing the stuff out. Horrible product, especially with all the hype and the high price. I will definitely NOT ever order these again, and am actually waiting to hear back from the companyt to get my money back. Again, how in the world do these rate as THE best earplug on the planet? Wow, talk about false advertising. Way off the mark. Back to my old foam earplugs.

I'm not sure who wrote the reviews I read, but had no trouble hearing everything using the earplugs. I tried every which way to reshape the earplugs and placed them in my ear trying to seal the edges very well and had no trouble hearing everything, including my husband snoring. Would love to return them.

I put the plugs in my ears and was really excited. Then when I put my head down, there was no external noise to bother me but, oh my, all I could hear was the internal noise of my breathing. Way too much. Any other solutions for that?

Dear Elliott: INTERNAL NOISE ???????? That's a first for us !!!! I and over 6 million customers of our ultra-high blocking Mighty Plugs wear them daily and we have never heard of any issue with "internal noise". Elliott, one thing for sure; It's good and important to breath. Possibly, don't insert the ear plugs so firmly to prevent them from sealing so completely. That may help. They left a residue in my ears after just trying them for 10 minutes and my hair got stuck in them. Not sure about using them on a daily basis or sleeping in them.

Dear Karen: The slight residue is Pure Lanolin! It's a wonderful nurturing (all natural) oil for human skin that keeps the ear plug (soft and moldable); yet if it remained in your ears, it tells me that you didn't (knead) the ear plugs enough. Karen, our ULTRA -HIGH blocking ear plugs are made mainly from BEESWAX and just prior to insertion, we must (knead or work) our ear plugs through our fingers or hands for 15 seconds to make them soft, moldable and to disburse the Pure Lanolin throughout the ear plug. Secondly, it is obvious that the ear plugs PROTRUDED OUT too far from your ear canal and they got involved with your hair. Had you inserted the ear plugs a (bit more firmly) and (flattened them) IN and AGAINST your ear opening, your hair would not have been an issue. Karen, please follow the below instructions (exactly), and you'll be very very pleased with our all natural, ultra-high blocking ear plug !!!!! 1. Just before insertion, take ( ONE ) ear plug at a time, and (work or knead) it between your fingers or hands for at least ( 15-20 ) seconds to make our Beeswax ear plug, (soft and moldable). 2. Then push and flatten the softened ear plug, (a bit firmly), IN and AGAINST your ear opening, UNTIL YOU FEEL the ear plug ( SEAL ) (SEAL) (SEAL) your ear canal. IMPORTANT: If the ear plug doesn't (( SEAL )) immediately, then just keep your finger pressed against it for a few more seconds and it will warm and SEAL PERFECTLY; and be sure to push them in far enough so that the (( whole ear plug )) is in your canal. 3. Now take the other ear plug, and prepare it and insert it (exactly) the same way as the first ear plug. Karen, with both ears SEALED, ( NOW ) LISTEN TO SILENCE !!!!!! I tried using the plugs many times for over a month and didnt get the required performance on most occasions. Even with a "seal" formed as per supplied instructions, it was often possible to hear what was going on much more than my usual traditional foam plugs. I looked at the instructions again and again trying to interpret them differently. I watched the online video and found it doesnt really address the problem of how to correctly insert the plugs. So i found myself manipulating the plugs a lot to stack up material near the entry of the ear canal to create a thicker physical barrier to sound. I use them when sleeping and generally lay on my left side. When i removed the left ear plug today i found that it had somehow gotten quite far in my ear and some material got stuck inside. I couldn't hear properly! I had to go to a doctor to have it removed. UPDATE _______ Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately you havent read or understood my comments properly. I have stated that i did not push the ear plug into my ear canal. I said i had to pile up more material near the entry (i.e. outside) in order to get reasonable sound blockage. The material got lodged deeper in the ear overnight. Im also disappointed at your response suggesting "ear plugs are not for you". Ive used other "traditional" earplugs for years with no issues - the type you actually do need to insert inside the canal!

Oh Bhavik: With all your difficulties; we are sure of one thing; Our ear plug or ear plugs in general are (( not meant )) for you!!!! Pushing the ear plug so far into the ear canal (( was surely not )) what our website video demonstrated. Bhavik, we suggest the following; do not use (( ear plugs )) to block out sound; use ear muff -headphone styles. It's safer for you. Most sincerely Mary-customer service

The ear plugs did not block my husbands snoring. But I was annoyed to hear my own breathing, etc. I do not recommend them. And it was not easy to return or refund.

Dear Kay: THEY WILL BLOCK OUT (( ALL )) HIS SNORING when you insert them and allow them to SEAL your ear canals, but your issue with "hearing your own breathing" is one we haven't heard before. I guess you'll have to figure out which you want to hear; (( his snoring )) or (( your breathing )). If it were me, I would do both; I would block out his snoring and I would surely ((continue)) to breath. Most sincerely Mary-customer service

I purchased these earplugs to block out snoring and they were no different to my cheap foam ones.... did not block out the sound.
