My lawnmower by EGO was purchased in April 2022,from Gardenlines, Kettering, UK. Absolutely delighted until May 2023 when the battery went RED! Found a contact number for ECO after a few hours research, the gentleman immediately advised me that the warranty covered battery and sent me to their closest agent (65 mile round trip) the gentleman kept pressing the battery button until it turned green, much to my surprise!! then he told me it had gone to sleep WHY? no answer!. Used mower 3 times after that and battery went to sleep permanently. Called original contact NO RESPONSE!! 2 days of desperate searching company ownership. I contacted a lovely Lady (Julia) at Henton and Chatell PM Monday July 10th. My new FREE WARRANTY BATTERY arrived Wed 12th. I can only speak as I find. Initially I was very CONCERNED at probable typical ONLINE APATHY, finally GREAT DELIGHT at both Julia's ATTITUDE AND COMPANY RESPONSE.

Poor customer service, as if they didn't care about my issue, they made no attempt to resolve my issue. This is what I wrote to EGO: I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with EGO's battery warranty policy. I purchased a string trimmer/battery & charger package in May 2020 from Home Depot. The battery has recently stopped working properly, after a full charge I place it on the string trimmer and 5 red lights appear on the battery and the trimmer will run for about 5 seconds. I contacted EGO and the rep said the battery is defective and the warranty is 3 years on the battery and I was out of warranty by a month! I looked at the battery and it was manufactured in March of 2019 meaning it was was already 14 months old when I purchased the package. The rep said it did not matter. I am not pleased with EGO at all, I realize warranties are in place for a reason but because the battery was already over a year old I think EGO is not being fair. I have been a loyal EGO customer for several years and I also own an EGO lawn mower and a leaf blower, I will certainly think twice before I purchase another EGO product or recommend (again) an EGO product to a friend. I would appreciate it if I could receive a new battery or a credit to purchase a new battery. Thank you. Here was their response after I messaged them: thank you for reaching out! We understand your frustration, and we hear you. Unfortunately, our team is unable to file a warranty claim if the battery is out of warranty. In addition, since we do not sell directly, we do not have any discount codes or promotional offers. We would recommend reaching out to different EGO retailers and dealers. Let us know if we can assist further. Thank you! I asked them for additional assistance and I have not heard back from them.

Agree with the poor reviews of EGO customer service. Rude and failed to listen to problem. Battery failed after two years. Was assigned a case number. Has been 48 hours no follow up from EGO. People have to keep mowing their yards in my neighborhood or get fined. So I have a $600 mower that is useless. Thanks EGO. POS.

Tools work fine but the batteries are worthless and expensive to replace. I registered my product, but they insist on a sale's receipt to register the product. The battery warranty is 3 years. They last 3 years and a couple of days. I have a collection of dead worthless batteries. I thought the first one was a fluke but they are all the same. Customer service is worthless. For the cost of the battery and a few bucksI can buy a gas mower.

I bought a lawnmower for 800$ in April, broke in June. I called customer service and they issued a replacement, one week went by and have not gotten any shipping information. Called again, spoke to a lady who honestly just did not give a F asked for a supervisor took 3 days for a call back and she did not care anymore than the first Lady. Finally was told orders take 10-15 days to ship after they are processed which unknown how long that will take. There is no other solution, they do not care if it’s the middle of summer be prepared to not cut your grass for a month straight. I can not believe in 2023 shipping of mass produced item can take more than a month.

The 56V battery that came with my mower lasted until 12 days past its warranty. I hope the rest of the equipment that I purchased for almost $800- lasts longer than just days past warranty.

In order To do this Review It should be long. I will try to make it short. I bought a farm and went all in with the ego product. Everything you need To be my own gardener. Including The power station and backpack for power. I spend about $6000. I have had It all for two years now. Overall I am Extremely happy. With the purchase. There have been some issues. One would be the LED screen on the Power station went out. They replaced the entire unit. Two I thought I had bad batteries and they helped me repair them with the charger, I was surprised it worked. The third thing was the Turbo button went out on my leaf blower. With that said I will say this. Dealing with customer service is not easy and all agents are not the same. Sometimes you need to call back or ask for supervisors. They all are not consistent with how to go about fixing a problem. After a total of 3 phone calls on the leaf blower. They finally saw things my way and agreed to send me a whole new unit because I live too far for the customer service shop. Too keep this short all problems were handled. Not as easily as As one would like. So far I love the product and they have held up to the warranty claims and beyond by sending me new items. The agents always are professional and don't get upset and don't give up on dealing with you. You just have to politely state your case and how you feel. Ask for a supervisor or sometimes just call back and get a different agent. I felt it necessary to write this reviews because when I was on hold I was reading all the bad reviews and it seemed hopeless, I was on my 3rd phone call on the leafblower. I was gearing up to write a really bad review. Like the others. When the gentleman made the right decision and send me a new unit battery and charger. Due to EGO reps finally Coming to the right Warranty decision On my behalf.I felt it necessary for me to write a good review. Don't think enough people do, but we all will race to write a bad review!
