Scam-ish
When you find (and can read) books you want to read it is great but most books I want to read are consistently changing the date from one month to the next so I'm never able to read them (this happens with approximately 85% of books). This makes me believe this is a scam to get money by promising that next month you can read and if you wait until said date it will say "No actually next month it will be available." So do not waste your money.

What a TOTAL scam
What a TOTAL scam. I get ONE book a month for $11.99......hope they go broke. The book I was reading is 1600 pages .....I ended up canceling Everand and bought the book used for $5.00.

Hi Seung, we're so sorry if our Standard plan isn't quite the right fit at the moment! While you can read 1 premium title a month, you can also read unlimited titles without unlocks. The unlimited catalog includes a selection of 20k+ ebooks, audiobooks, and podcasts, including Everand Originals. If you should choose to give us another chance and have any questions about this, please submit a ticket using this link and we'll be happy to address those: http://bit.ly/social-support-help. Thanks! -MW

Charged for 2 Subscriptions
I generally loved this product even after the change to the subscription model, however after upgrading my subscription from the legacy subscription to the new one I somehow ended up paying for both. I reached out to inquire about this and was told I wasn’t so I let it go and ended up being charged 2 times more. Customer service was entirely unhelpful when contacting them again and basically said there was nothing they could do and it was my fault as I must have started the second subscription on the different email myself, even though i am 100% sure I did not.

The worst customer service and a useless new system
Longtime user of Scribd/Everand but it has gone down the pan. To get a response from customer service (following chat it reception)takes up to 48 hours !!!! Used up my one 'unlock' downloading Shakespeare's complete works in audiobook. It was 19 minutes long!! New system is useless. Probably designed by a hedge fund. Will be cancelling.

Hello there! We're truly sorry for any trouble here and we understand your concerns that an unlock was used on a title that was incomplete - that sounds very frustrating! Since you've opened a ticket with our support team, can update your review here and include your 7-digit ticket number? Once this is done, we'll gladly investigate this on our end, and return that unlock to your account as soon as possible. Thanks! -MW

Highly Disappointed in Tier Plans
After several years with a subscription with Scribd, Everand and some other platform, I am canceling my subscription. Such tiers plans is gouging on top of the regular monthly subscription. That's $24 bucks a month times 12. $288 annually. I can find better deals outside the platform. I just purchased a premium text for $5.00 - with Everand, I would had to pay $12 for it. Highly disappointment. I expect increases in subscription over time, as expenses do occur. This tier is a leap for mankind as I must now bounce off the rocket.

Hey, Thanks for reaching out to us! We appreciate you taking the time to share your honest feedback on our new plans, though we apologize for any confusion regarding cost moving forward. To clarify, the new plans that we've launched still start at $11.99 USD/month. Members do not pay this price on top of their legacy plan subscription. For example, if you were to upgrade to our new Standard plan, you'd still pay $11.99/month, and receive an unlock each month. However, don't hesitate to reach out to us using this link if you have any other questions or concerns and we'd be happy to help: http://bit.ly/social-support-help. Thank you! -MW

No longer worth it for the avid reader
I’ve been a scribed/Everand user for years. I’ve always loved this platform until recently. I’m an avid reader and almost always finish several books a month. The new upgraded subscription model is ridiculous. I run out of the ability to unlock titles way too quickly in the month and cannot find enough of the unlimited content that I actually want to read. I’ll be canceling my subscription.

Hi Erin, Thank you for reaching out to us! We appreciate you taking the time to share your honest feedback on our new plans. Our decision to change the system was not made lightly. We’ve heard from many in our community about the need for more transparency and a broader selection of bestselling and new release titles. The new unlock system aims to provide more control and predictability, so you can select the books you want without those unexpected restrictions. If you need assistance locating more content to read or want to make some recommendations for the unlimited catalog, we're here to help so don't hesitate to reach out to us using this link: http://bit.ly/social-support-help. We're truly sorry if the new plans aren't quite the right fit, but we hope you'll give us another chance. Thank you! -MW

Was a long time subscriber but done with them.
Was a long time subscriber and recommended it all the time, but finally cancelled over their new structure. Whoever designed this new service hates readers and doesn’t understand the reading experience. I was about one third of the way through a very long book when suddenly, i kid you not, mid-sentence the book disappeared and was replaced with a message it would be available again in three weeks. lol. That was it for me and cannot recommend for any book reader who wants to be treated with respect. Plenty of other options - dont waste your money.

Honestly Disgusting
Honestly, what is the point in subscribing and paying 20+ dollars a month for 3 unlocks that should be in the unlimited section, I was a legacy user and they changed me over without my consent. This is absolute bs I will be cancelling, and for everyone else don't even bother subscribing, just use audible or something, at least they're reputable.
