Too expensive
Decent enough product - BUT the sensors only last 2 weeks. At over £50 per sensor, it’s far too expensive to keep using it

I don't know if they started to vibe code the Libre 3 App but its getting worse and worse. After using FreeStyle Libre 2 and 3 sensors for many years... this is just sad.

I normally love the Freestyle Libre 3 Plus sensors. However I ordered my 3 month supply less than a month ago and my first sensor failed after 9 days. I replaced it with a new sensor and that one failed after day 4 and just replaced that sensor last night and I am now yet again having issues with this new sensor. This is very scary as I rely on this to manage my type 1 diabetes. I am getting error codes Er3,373,P or Er3,380 or 57. I have never had so many issues with the sensors in this extremely short period of time.

Have they never heard about patient privacy???? When my sensor gets too low or too high (or thinks it is), it makes my phone beep VERY loudly. So I turn it down so not everyone around me knows my business, just me. But it cranked the volume back up!!! Imagine I was in a movie theater and indulged in a little too much popcorn. I turn the volume way down so only I can hear it, but it shrieks loudly anyway!!! NOT EVERYONE IN THE THEATER NEEDS (or wants) TO KNOW THAT!!

I've been using CGMs for 2 plus years, so an experienced user. For all of 2025 I used Dexcom which was supported by my insurance. This year I switched back to Freestyle Libre 3 plus and I have had a horrible experience. Four sensors have turned out to be complete duds. Three of them have crazy changes in their readings - as an example today my brand new sensor is swinging from 69 to 100 to 80 to 140 to 111 to 135 to....you get the drift. It's driving me nuts. I've had one sensor that showed 30-50 points lower most of the time. I'd wake up in the middle of the night with low glucose alarm only to prick my finger and find out that this was totally a false alarm. I complained to customer support and asked for a replacement - so far I have had all requests denied. How did Abbott get this FDA approved?? I think FDA should review it. This is a terrible product.

I wore the Freestyle Libre sensor 2, not the 2+ but the sensor 2 for four years with no problems. Then Abbott discontinued this product. I started wearing the Freestyle Libre sensor 3+ in January of 2026. The sensor 3+ is a horrible product. I don't think I've ever worn one for the full 15 days. The sensor either falls off prematurely or I have to take it off, because it is painful, and I can feel the needle every time I moved my arm or lay on the sensor. Another problem I have with the sensor 3+ is that it will stop sending signals to the sensor reader days before I need a new sensor. The reader will say."sensor not found, start a new sensor". The sensor 3+ also gives me incorrect readings. The alarm on my reader will say my glucose is 63 but when I do a fingerstick, my glucose is 108. Because I've had so much trouble with the sensor 3+, I have stopped using it. I'd rather stick my finger then deal with the Freestyle Libre sensor 3+.
