I can’t really say what I expected when I signed up for the academy, but I can say with certainty that the experience far exceeded anything I could have imagined. The curriculum is exceptionally well organized, and the material covered is both extensive and thoughtfully presented. The student support team is truly amazing. My course facilitator was brilliant in the way she guided and conducted our cohort, creating an environment where we always felt supported, encouraged, and empowered to keep moving forward. Space was provided whenever we needed it. Support was available in the blink of an eye. Positive psychology and genuine encouragement were woven into the experience from beginning to end. Every hurdle we encountered became an opportunity for growth, and every accomplishment was celebrated together. FMCA is so much more than a place to acquire coaching skills. It truly feels like a family. Over the course of the year, genuine friendships have formed as we navigated challenges, celebrated accomplishments, and supported one another through the journey. The heartfelt love, encouragement, and support within our cohort have been nothing short of transformational for me. I am leaving not only with new coaching skills and knowledge, but with relationships and memories that I will carry with me long after the course has ended. Everyone within the academy—and everyone considering joining—is an exceptional human being who is committed to making this world a better place. I feel incredibly grateful to have been part of this community and to have shared this transformative journey with such an inspiring group of people. I really appreciated how the course was broken down over the year so there was enough time to learn and practice the new information. It was lovely to have the small cohorts so we were able to have individual time with good practice (coaching) opportunities. I appreciated also the vulnerability brought to the sessions by each individual. Our Course Facilitator was excellent in giving appropriate feedback along the way.

Office hours available to us, outside of our normal LTS schedule, made asking questions, getting clarification, or exploring ideas so much easier. Then there was my CF (Coarse Facilitator). She was our absolute rock. Our go-to. Our cheerleader. Our support system when we were down. Our Educator. Our Mentor. Even when life could have disrupted her...she didn't show it. I truly do not know how I could have navigated this course so easily without her. Calling her my mentor is an honor. Calling her my friend, well....that's priceless. You do not know going in what bonds you will build in this program. If you keep an open mind, "Be curious, not judgmental", you will come out of this on the other end not just a Functional Medicine Health Coach. You will come out READY to be a Functional Medicine Health Coach. You will come out of it with a new positive outlook on what is possible, and you will have formed some of the strongest bonds you could ever imagine.
