I have no idea how Mozo was installed as a Chrome extension. When I open Gmail it pops up a message that it detected a threat, and when I click on "More Details" it takes me to a site and requests that I login to my Google account. I have BitDefender installed, which doesn't warn me about any threat, and I trust it. So, Mozo gives fake alerts as far as I'm concerned. EDIT: Since Mozo posted here the email they sent me, I will also post my reply to them: "Although I am not familiar with Mozo, I respect your product's certifications and credentials. Nevertheless, if it's not clear to the user that he/she is opting in to its installation, I can only react negatively. Especially, since my experience with it is that it pops up a warning about a threat, and after clicking on "Details" it asks to log in to Google, instead of providing the details. I find this an unacceptable behavior for software, even though I believe that you have very good reasons for adopting such a course of action."

Hi Panos, Thank you for sharing your feedback. Mozo is a Chrome extension developed by ReasonLabs, a Microsoft MVI-certified (https://support.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-antivirus-software-providers) and OPSWAT Gold Member (https://www.opswat.com/partners/reasonlabs) cybersecurity company. It offers real-time alerts to help users monitor and protect their personal information online. Mozo cannot be installed without user interaction. Typically, it is added through a user-initiated download or consent during the activation of security features—often during Google sign-in or breach monitoring enablement. The alerts shown are based on real-time threat intelligence and data breach monitoring. These are displayed only to users who have opted in and granted permission. If an alert appears, it means a potential threat or data breach indicator was detected, and users are invited to review it securely. While we understand users may rely on other security tools, Mozo is designed to complement them with a focus on identity and data protection. If you prefer not to use the extension, you may remove it at any time via Chrome’s Extensions settings. If you experience any issues or need further assistance, feel free to contact our support team via: https://getmozo.com/help-center. Best regards, Mozo Support Team
