I canceled my residential trash service with GFL in June 2026, but their containers remained at my home for weeks and were only picked up after multiple requests. My May 15 statement showed a $125.97 credit balance, and I am still waiting for my refund, confirmation that my account was properly closed, and a final zero-balance statement.

I am very disappointed with the service we received. The collection crew dropped cardboard on our property and left it behind. More concerning, when my elderly father attempted to address the issue, he was spoken to in a rude and disrespectful manner. We expect collection staff to treat residents courteously and professionally. I would appreciate this matter being reviewed and addressed.

I wanted to thank GFL's driver, Harman, for his excellent customer attention today as he stepped up and went the extra mile in helping with some yard waste. Thanks Harman, really appreciated the extra 5-Star service you provided!

This company is very unreliable! They miss your pickup and it your fault to figure out how to get rid of the trash! You can’t speak to a supervisor and the Customer Service line doesn’t help with nothing absolutely nothing! I payed for the year but I have to wait to the end of the quarter to cancel my service and get a refund!!! I’m so over them I had to call 5 times in 2 weeks

I had a few pieces of a chair neatly packaged and well within weight/size limits in bin and they refused to pick up. Disposed of in another bin with another disposal company and no issues.

GFL is consistently late with pickups and often misses their pickups altogether. Ever since they bought out our local service a few years back it has been nothing but poor service. If you have other options I'd consider them.

Been almost a month and still haven’t picked up !! Takes over a week to get a response back from them. One excuse after another. I’m done !!!

This is not the first time the residents on the other side of our crescent have been overlooked. We are forced to use this oversized bin, and when we complain, they offer a smaller model, but it still takes up the same amount of space in our small garage. It is very difficult to contact GFL, and I believe they do not care about our concerns. I was informed by the previous company, Millar Waste, that GFL underbid them to secure the contract, and now we are stuck with their service. Seniors like me, in our 80s, are expected to drag this large bin—especially when the wheels are frozen—to the driveway, clear away snow and ice to level it, and then drag it back because someone forgot or simply doesn't care. Additionally, every week, some garbage or recycling falls onto the street and is left there by your drivers. Having worked in customer service for 60 years, I can say that this is not an acceptable way to treat customers.
