Everyone in The Gorilla Safari Company office was extremely nice, organized, and helpful. I'm glad I arrived a day early to sleep-in and visit the nearby chimpanzee sanctuary. I had terrific, knowledgeable, eagle-eyed guides. We found chimps in the wild after about an hour and gorilla's (truly a once in a lifetime experience) in just a half-hour. With the high altitude, climbing up / out of the rain forest was much tougher than I anticipated. Our safari vehicle was nicer than one's I've previously been in. But a word to the wise, bring along a hemorrhoid ring to sit on (you'll find out why once you're on Uganda roads).

Scott, you have made us laugh this morning - how funny!!! The guides all do such a great job so it's really nice for them to be recognised for their work in this review - it's amazing also on the game drives what they manage to spot, even at great distances!! Yes, a visit to the chimp sanctuary is a great trip to fit in if you have time whilst in Entebbe and we are glad that you made the most of that opportunity. Your travel journal has been very entertaining reading and we have really enjoyed your insight into your time in Uganda. Do get back in touch if you have any other African adventures in mind as it would be a pleasure to work with you again.

We were on a healthcare mission in eastern Uganda and also wanted to experience the Mountain Gorillas in the western part of the country. We were referred to Gorilla Safari Company through one of the leaders of the mission. Amanda and Donna were able to put together and plan our itinerary, flights, transfers and superb accommodations as well as arrange all permits and bookings for the safari, all staying within budget and utilizing the limited time that we had to the fullest. They provided excellent advice and we were well prepared and always felt well taken care of through the entire journey. I would highly recommend The Gorilla Safari Company for any Uganda adventure experiences.

I had an "Amazing" time on my 8 day Uganda Safari which I took in February. My Travel Agent recommended the Gorilla Safari Tour Company, which did a wonderful trip. I would love to go back. We did a Gorilla Trek, which was just one of the highlights of this tour. Staff and guides were just wonderful and they made sure we had a nice vacation.

Thanks Denise, "amazing" is just what we love to hear!! It was our pleasure to work with Doreen, your travel agent, on this adventure and we are so pleased that you (and the rest of our clients on this group tour) had such a great time. Do remember us for your next trip!!!

Donna and Amanda are absolutely incredible. The organization, timely responses and trip they planned for myself and 3 friends will last a life time. I would highly recommend using this company and these 2 amazing ladies as this trip went without 1 single glitch.

Aah thanks Patrick, what lovely comments - there are BIG smiles all around here now. It was great to work with you on your 'boys trip' and we are so pleased that you and the guys had so much fun. We loved seeing the photos taken quad biking in Jinja and the one of you at Giraffe Manor; we really look forward to seeing some of your gorilla photos soon!! We would love to help you plan another adventure, so please do keep in touch.

Donna and Amanda where a tremendous help in planning a trip of a lifetime. They were a wealth of knowledge, gave us excellent advice, selected very nice accommodations (with one exception!), When we arrived in Cape town, they had already rescheduled my shark dive to accommodate bad weather. Excellent service

Hi Pat, thanks for taking the time to post this review and also for the lovely long phone call; we loved hearing about all your adventures in Uganda and South Africa and really appreciated all the feedback that you gave us with regards to your experience. Thanks in particular for the comments on the 'one exception', we have addressed all the issues you raised. Glad that we were able to reschedule the shark dive and we really hope to work with you again on another trip. Best wishes to you both.

I had a wonderful experience with my hosts from the Gorilla Safari Company. They picked out truly exceptional lodgings, drivers and guides for me to travel and trek with. The hospitality I benefited from was outstanding at every step of the way. This should be a bucket list experience for almost everyone who loves outdoors, animals and adventure. The trekking was not for the faint of heart. i am 72 and, although I'm very fit, the gorilla trek in Uganda was challenging. They do have the "African Helicopter" alternative - porters who can carry trekkers in a stretcher if needed. We had one such lady in our group of 7 who had to take advantage of that service to get back out, but I'm absolutely certain she does not regret for a moment the inconvenience when compared with the rich encounter she experienced with the gorilla family. I also visited with a large troupe of golden monkeys in Rwanda - didn't have high expectations for that side trip, but now I look at it as one of the absolute highlights.

John, thank you so much for that lovely review, we are all so pleased that the trip worked out so well for you. Like you, we couldn't agree more that this experience should be on everyone's bucket list and as you mention the 'African Helicopter' (love that description) is always available for those who may struggle on the trek. Great to hear how much you enjoyed the golden monkeys too. We look forward to working with you again on another trip.

Have had the most amazing trip. Everything was extremely well organised. Our guide Amos went above and beyond to make sure we got to see and do all we wanted. He was also very knowledgeable about his country and traditions which we found very interesting. All accommodation was lovely, particularly Pakuba Lodge, Murchison and 2 Friends, Jinja. I would absolutely recommend The Gorilla Safari Company for any trip to Uganda

Thank you Kath, we really enjoyed working on your itinerary and are so pleased that the final result lived up to your expectations. You covered a huge amount of the country on this trip which would have given you (with Amos's help) a brilliant insight into the culture and traditions. We are so happy that you enjoyed all the lodges and that Amos went that extra mile to make sure your trip was as special as possible. It was fabulous to see the videos from your gorilla treks - what an incredible day - and it was great to see the photos as you travelled....seems like we have another member of the We LOVE Uganda club!!
