It was a comprehensive go at my own pace program that fit into my busy schedule.

I finnished the ground schooling program with a solid understanding of the course material and while I am confident in my ability to pass the actual written test I have not yet taken it so course accuracy will not be accounted for. The course plan was easy to follow and well designed, able to be done at my own pace between all the interruptions that life throws. The material was a bit dry but not nearly as much as other courses I have sampled, and with only a handful of rough patches (air space, stalls, and radio reports) I was able to pass each section with ease. The little mini tests and flash cards at the end of most sections helped cement the material. However during the course I noticed in the pressure altitude section regarding outside air temp two of the section quiz answers where flipped so the correct answer was wrong, when I approached support with this information and examples they reinforced that yes the answers where wrong, but that they could not find the questions at all. It is a shame but gold seal Definitely has my recommendation

I enjoyed learning with Gold Seal and I tried one of the other popular monthly subscription ground schools as well. Gold Seal was the choice for me as the training was concise, the quizzes were challenging and overall I found it to be a great learning experience without all the cheerleading included in the other course. I scored a 93% on the written and while I wanted a 100% I'm happy and plan on reviewing the course further for my check ride!

If I could give a 4.5, I would. I started back in the new year of 2020 with GS Ground School, so I have been able to see many updates to lessons and even lessons added. I love the self pace and lessons were short enough as to not feel overwhelmed. The information was broken into perfect bites. I got a good score on my Knowledge Test summer of 2021 and then was excited to see some really good updates when I went back to review for my checkride which I passed with flying colors on Jan. 16, 2022. The live action videos are really helpful. I think students could also really benefit from seeing a slowed down video of the 4 stroke engine or actually be able to select the engine they have and see a demonstration perhaps from a mechanic. I also think a real SIM video showing a simulated instrument failures - mainly the pitot static system and seeing what happens in the cockpit with the with different combinations of failures. Regarding wake turbulence, I just couldn't seem to memorize this and another peer told me about "flying the bowl" which was such a great visual. I will continue to study with Gold Seal. The support team is lightening fast in their replies and I love knowing that they are also "always learning" and making positive changes to an already great Ground School. Thanks Gold Seal!

Gold Seal was an excellent investment. Thorough lessons on every session needed for the written exam and more. I found it helpful to run through all the lessons several times and made sure I did well on all the quizzes before I attempted the final exam. I finished Gold Seal on 1/8/22, and within a week I had passed my written exam with a high score. Can’t recommend Gold Seal enough.

Really a great ground school. Had I the possibility to put 4.5 stars, I would have. I only didn't put 5 stars because some parts of the program were a bit older and hence less interactive. I felt like I could see different levels of recency for the videos. I personally really enjoyed the videos in the cockpit, which I feel helped me understand the best the explained content. I think adding more of these would be a great step!

Content is great but platform has a few bugs. Did most of my studying on iPad and had numerous lessons that audio wouldn’t work on… sometimes could get the audio to work if I would restart lesson after a few sec in but that was a pain in the ass. Other than that, I made a 95 on the written so can’t complain there.

Gold Seal is without a doubt the best online ground school program, and I love the way the courses are outlined to help you work through each topic. Studying for the written can be very overwhelming, but they have presented it in a way that takes out the anxiety of it all. I started training for my PPL 17 years ago when I was 18, but never got past the written because I didn't feel prepared with the ground school course I was using at that time. After going through Gold Seal I feel more prepared than ever to take the written! You won't be disappointed for choosing Gold Seal! Thank you, Russell Still for an amazing program
