Benjamin, the vast majority of our TrustPilot reviews are 5 stars, so you can imagine our dismay to see yours - our first review under 4 stars. We disagree with your account of what transpired. We are known for our honesty and integrity and strive to be direct and clear in our communication. We do not employ “shady tactics” and our product quality is top-notch. Unlike the other extinguisher you mentioned, all of our extinguishers are UL-listed as required by law. UL nameplates are high quality and are individually serialized for traceability. As required by UL, they are designed to self-destruct if any attempt is made to remove them. There is a reason for this. An extinguisher without a nameplate makes it impossible to know what agent it contains, its rating, what types of fires it can extinguish, the year of manufacture, etc. Unfortunately, you appear to have misunderstood the person you spoke with. No H3R employee would advise you to remove the nameplate, nor would they suggest that a new nameplate could be reapplied. It cannot. Doing so would be a violation of UL requirements. We accept product returns within 30 days for any reason if the product is in new condition and we have a 6-year limited warranty that covers manufacturing defects. All product is inspected prior to shipping. If a damaged nameplate was missed, or if it was damaged in shipping and you brought that to our attention, we would have replaced the extinguisher. Instead, we received a product that you had rendered unusable. We covered the return shipping of the product to you. Regarding the non-H3R bracket that you used, we do not have direct experience with it. However, installations on the internet showing it attached to our extinguishers and the manufacturer’s statements on their website suggest that many others have used it without issues.
