The Originator of the Seersucker Suit. Founded in New Orleans in 1909, Haspel is the originator of the seersucker suit and now offers a vibrant collection of men's shirts, pants, and fashion accessories. Known for innovative lightweight fabrics, Haspel is the preferred men's clothing brand to keep you looking and feeling cool. Damn right! ABOUT US Joseph Haspel, Sr. originated the use of a lightweight cotton fabric known as seersucker in the manufacturing of men's suits in the early 1900's. His suit solution for Louisiana's blazing summer heat became the brand's signature item, propelling Haspel's popularity beyond its southern roots, while making an indelible mark on American menswear. In the following decades, Haspel continued to expand its offerings, attracting new enthusiasts with its bold colors and classic sensibilities. It also pushed the envelope of innovation, introducing stretch fabrics and working with fabric companies to create the "miracle fiber" used in wash-and-wear suits. Owned by the Haspel family, the brand today has built on it's iconic tradition in Summer Suits and expanded it's roots in menswear to accessories and new products. I am hoping you will carry Cayenne Seersucker again in the future. Love your suits! Stay safe. Love NOLA! Best

Sally, we still carry red seersucker, we relaunched it in the spring with a much more pronounced pucker and a hint of stretch for added movement. We renamed it Hurricane Red. https://www.haspel.com/pages/hurricane-red Thank you for the review!

the customer service rep was extremely helpful as I needed to exchange the suit jacket but was tight on time to make an event. It all worked out great and my husband was extremely pleased with the fit.

Purchased a Mint Julep Seersucker suit for a Florida beach wedding. Delivery was fast, jacket fit perfectly, and just had to have the pants hemmed, which was expected. Quality is EXCELLENT! Highly recommend Haspel for anything seersucker! The irony is I was born and raised in Rochester, NY, which is where Haspel tailored suits come from, and I currently live in New Orleans, which is where Haspel started...small world.
